It might sound odd but I’ve actually been using video games to help me practice paying attention! Forcing myself to slow down and really think about the environments and why they are the way they are, remembering where to go without relying on maps or map markers, and trying to remember names and goals without a list really forces you to pay attention to what’s being said and going on. Great video!

This is an amazing idea , I’ve been working on my goals recently and have not been playing videogames eventhough I really want to because I could not see myself spending a lot of hours playing a game and not learning anything that could help me in the real world. Thanks to your comment I have a new perspective which shows me that a game may still be useful in ways i did not know. I will surely be incorporating in my day to day life. "Attention is a resoursce and it's limited" - a phrase after which I uninstalled all of social network apps on my phone. Had no games on it luckely. The main problem is how to reward your self with feeling of sutisfaction after achieving those small goals that you make for your self. It's there where you understand why PC games are addictive - this feeling of achievment - you know it's false and virtual - yet it is there, on your screen shining with FX...

@@melissadavis5954 You can "learn things" on any social media platform, the problem is people assuming they learn things without doing any research into claims, which is extremely common on KZbin. One example is people blindly accepting Ted talks as absolute scientific fact and spreading info they saw in the videos and telling people it has studies to support it because somewhere in the video someone claims it does. You can say you are "learning things"but are you actually doing the research to make sure those things are true? If you are doing that anyways, what did the video itself actually do?

While passion is certainly good, the idea that people have one true neverending passion is incorrect. I've wasted a lot of time looking for a passion, but I eventually had to realise that I get bored of everything. Sometimes I regain interest, sometimes I don't. The periods where I've felt the most passion has been when my interests were combined with grand ambition and a supportive environment. When I'm surrounded by teachers and other people who are interested in the same things I am, I become a very motivated person.

A great talk, with constructive advice we'd all do well to head. However, paying attention and openness to the ideas of others is something many want to shut down and stifle especially in the political arena, where not all ideas are welcomed. This closed mindedness is counter productive to future success, both for us as individuals and collectively as a society.

12:54 trying and failing at "stretch activities" is a hard thing to overcome for me. It intimidates me and stops me from attempting a lot of important things. EDIT: Also fear of embarrassment is stopping me from attempting important things.

10:14 omg. You can cause your brain to reallocate the "bad habit" brain cells. You can become less effective at screwing up because the cells for that "skill" were assigned for another purpose.

this game is all about awareness 'regular awareness play' about our energy flow leads to an acceptance mode this implies this awareness activity shifts to automatic autonomous mode the traits of the sub-conscious mind sharing my vibration wavesz inner journey what am experiencing now after 19 years of this vibration wavesz journey is a clear development of undoing aging or moving towards total freedom from aging process am experiencing speed hum sound frequency expanding vibration fields its expansion is at an accelerated rate and this is on a daily expansion spree and this alongwith managing family responsibilities and throughout chaotic but works fine this is a never ending ever expanding solo journey where this will land have no idea this has relieved me from all illnesses and any or all types of diseases and freed me from any kind of stress that may have occurred due to any future medical issues though health isn't my core focus and this process of health updates continues have realized we are expanding energy beings next day/week/month/year this is just expanding and moving towards further dense subtler levels my family and others will realize this when the appropriate event manifests and majority will experience this when the right moment arrives yes my belly transforms into a furnace and my brain gets fully charged and this vibration in wavesz form is live and active even now whilst texting this implies my air-oxygen transforms to hydrogen and further to helium at deeper levels and sometimes much further 19 years back been to a 10 day vipassana session and on the 7th day at around 7-30 pm strolling around in an open playground meditating and in a trance state i started hearing this humming sound at the lower back of my brain (pineal gland) in the beginning it was weak but now this is huge (this what am referring to is 'primordial energy fields') in december 2012 there was a surge of flow energy from the lower back of my brain to my facial front now this has stabilized and expanded as this energy is surging ahead and i do believe this will show off externally after completing another cycle of 12 years from 2012 to 2024) then this critical issue of showing evidence will be over/settled once for all as regards submission of reports to any institutions doesn't arise as nobody has any idea or any previous knowledge of what am experiencing also have no faith in humans managing institutions (and this my vibration wavesz journey which last 4-5 weeks back in july-august 2019 has transformed into a definite autonomous flow at my inner skin layers and does have an impact and improves my inner flow energy which implies by 2024 this energy will surely emit from my external skin layers) so another 6 years stay of this speed hum sound frequency vibration fields which by then completes 24 years this will definitely start showing off results at my external physical self just posting for information purpose as this cannot be taught can share my experience only at best can give tips or send healing flow vibration fields
