It seems to me that she is reading from something rather than speaking naturally.

Whether or not she used notes doesn’t take away from the courage it takes to share meaningful ideas. Let’s focus on the value of her message rather than the delivery style. 😊 Besides she is a writer, not a speaker ;)

She doesn’t talk to the audience from the heart or with genuine emotion. Her speech feels robotic-not in the sense of her voice, but in how it lacks the emotional connection to what she’s saying. It seems like she hasn’t truly experienced or felt the situations and events she is talking about. As a result, the audience might not feel engaged or connected to her words. She speaks, but it doesn’t feel authentic or emotional, as if she’s just reciting rather than sharing her real thoughts or feelings.

Surely she’s just nervous, it doesn’t mean that she doesn’t mean what she says. Plus English isn’t her first language

I must kindly but firmly disagree with your assessment. While everyone experiences talks differently, I found her speech to be heartfelt and authentic in its own way. It's important to remember that not everyone expresses emotion in the same manner, and that doesn't diminish the value of their message. Rather than focusing on how it was presented, I believe we can all benefit from reflecting on the content of her words and the ideas she shared. Constructive and supportive feedback is always welcome, but sometimes, if there's nothing kind or helpful to say, it might be better to leave it unsaid. After all, it's no small feat to stand on a stage and share one's thoughts with the world. Let’s celebrate the courage it takes to do that, and focus on the positive impact of her message.
