Nutritional biochemist, Dr Libby Weaver (PhD), is a thirteen-times bestselling author and speaker.
With a natural ability to break complex concepts into layman’s terms, Libby’s work brings to life her unique three-pillared approach that explore the interplay between our biochemistry, nutrition, and emotions.
Early on in her working life, Libby observed that knowledge alone wasn’t always enough to help people make choices that support their health. This led her to pursue an answer to the question “why do we do what we do, even though we know what we know?”.
In this talk, she shares with us the insights she’s uncovered to date.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Forward words - love it! And Old Brain (subconscious mind) versus New Brain (conscious mind) are fantastic ways of explaining the differences between our sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Powerful talk!!! 🙏✨️🙌

Amazing and inspiring talk! Our life is a "grand odyssey". I completely agree and love that you ended with the same words my mom just told me a week ago from David Whyte. Beautiful syncronicity! Thank you for sharing the gift of this talk that has been in you for a long time. Your words and presence are a blessing.

My background is as a therapist / counsellor and this TED Talk is great . I would love all of my clients to watch this (much better than I can describe or explain) as Dr Libby Weaver has a strong biochemistry background - great speaker!

Ignorance is pure bliss. On one occasion, I tried to comfort a person who needed advice and was in great pain & misery. Because he had chose ignorance, was sad, enraged, hopeless...I couldn't help but watch him suffer because he wanted to believe all the lies he had once believed about what pain/suffering ought to be. I wanted him to know that there was love and happiness in the world, and that life has meaning but only God can bring the greatest happiness imaginable. I wanted to share what I had learned from my pastor (Dwayne Lemon) who taught me about G○d's love. That anyone could be a conqueror of sin or addictions through the grace of G○d. Happiness is much greater than we think. "Seek and you Shall Find" (Matthew 7:7)
