Watching this video nearly 8 years later, and realizing how much our world needs this today.

Comfort Addiction: Love the reality of this talk. Most humans say, "I want to be happy!" But what IS happy? How do we get there? What hurdles to we need to jump? It takes fertilizer to make a plant grow. Humans need to stretch. To smell the stink, have patience, weed the plant, and have the patience for flowers to bloom. Biswas-Diener and Todd Kasdan's new book will set people on their uncomfortable ears. Can't wait for their new book in Sept., "The Upside of Your Darkside".

A wonderful perspective, at once psychological, historical, philosophical, and anthropological, on our species and how we might benefit from a little more hardiness.

7 years later and people would rather die or watch the world burn to stay comfrotable.

I feel half this talk should have been a solution instead of the last 30 secs. Just about everyone knows they should exercise but almost nobody does because of the discomfort or the comfort addiction. It's how to change that, that's the problem.

And isn`t it so comforting to watch a 14 minute video that makes you realize what`s wrong and how to put it right.

Hahhaa the flushed toilet comfort. How much can you live without a flushed toilet? I was able to, in rehab. LOL!
