Internationally acclaimed singer and songwriter Yael Deckelbaum has been at the forefront of the sprouting global women’s movement. This movement promotes the same values she has long dreamed of sharing through her music.
Yael has marched with thousands of women, from all walks of life, all over the world. Despite their diversity, these women are united in their belief that with love and determination we have the power to create peace.
In this talk, Yael shares her personal journey and explains how positive change will become a reality when women of the world unite.

Yael will reveal through a touching story, the behind of scenes of one of the universal projects that she initiated- “the Mother’s Prayer” in collaboration with Nobel Prize for Peace winner Leymah Gbowee, who led to the end of the Second Liberian Civil War in 2003, by the joint strength of women.
Today, Yael is a symbol for women’s marches for peace and solidarity throughout the world, and through her poetry she calls for the unification of women globally. Last week with the rehearsal of or women choir, we sang an Israeli song with the meaning that swords were melted into ploughs and there be no more war. This time it felt very special and sound enormously harmonic. We keep silence for some seconds after and mentioned that when this happend in a song, perhaps it is possible in our living as well.

If there is a chance of this world becoming w-holy and sacred and all that it can be, to its highest potential, it can only be done if we as women join our hearts and minds, collaborating in unison. its not about feminism. its not about competing with men. we love men. we cannot be without them. its about realising how sacred and valuable we are to life and to making this earth and all life Healthy and Harmonious again! This same experience happened to me in Kolkatta, India. Walking with Metha Pattak, after she had spoken during a Flair like a flame Conference of Christian Brothers and Jesuits in 2005. We followed her to her gathering place where many many hundreds of women were sitting on the streets in Kolkotta ( Calcutta) like an endless Chaine of life and lifeforce and love. And suddenly Metha Pattak,, moved to the frontline and me being part of an American Delegation at that Conference. Where pulled forward, and for a moment I was a white skin woman who was afraid, for the possible aggression of all those women and men suffering from all outcomes of Colonialism, Imperialism, and Corruption. As well as all the Police and Militaries alongside the street while we started to march. As I was also as a white skin supporting the rising of the women. So I was double scared. And at that moment in time, a kind small well dressed in Sari woman took my hand and it felt like that friendship feeling we knew from childhood in Kindergarten, taking the hand of the others. And then the banner was just in front of my body. And I was transformed into a careless woman! And we walked and walked and walked. Later the international lady coach & I were invited to the front stage and sitting with our sisters in Kolkatta ( Calcutta) And that time my elder lady friend was asked to give a speech too. The next day at the Christian brother Jesuit's Conference one of the monks rushed to me and asked me with lots of rejecting energy: You spoke at that march!!!! I replied: That time it was NORA, of course, next time I will speak. Your performance here is a rebound of all my efforts as I am singing since 2005 all over the world, at Airports, railway stations huge places with my 4 Octave voice, reaching the echo of the acoustic and building up my many nations songs and originals! This on 4 continents up to now. All women are a present to the world and their children, husbands, and elder!
