It’s a talk+performance to heal your soul. Shayan’s music talks about peace, pluralism, tolerance and personal and social values. She talks about living a mellow and harmonious life.
Farzana Wahid, popularly known as Shayan is an eclectic musician, lyricist and composer who can only be described in one word as 'different'! Each of Shayan's songs is born out of a story or an idea that picks your brain and moves your emotions, they talk of random tales, politics, freedom, art or culture. Often her songs are more of statements of an activist rather than popular numbers. They keep breaking barriers and transcending from music to literature, to slogans and posters.

Why are you astonished? Tagore, Bose, Satyajit Roy, ustad Alauddin khan, Ravishankar, Zakir Husain, & many, whom you won't understand, because you don't have the necessary software in your brain. Bob Dylan discovered hippiism from the bauls of Bengal in '60s. But they existed since 100s of years back. George Harrison's first comment at London airport after returning from India was "we know nothing." After learning about music from the bengalee Ravishankar & Alla Rakkha khan. USA isn't a nation at all. Criminals ousted from Europe killed native Americans, brought slaves from Africa & developed USA as a terrorist country. It is a problem for humanity & a threat to its existence.
