The problem with Pakistan is that progressive people are very defensive and chose to stay silent and opt for personal benefits over the overall benefit of country, but the Mulla group is very much radical and holds potential to challenge the state. It is time we figure out a permanent solution that also changes the mindsets of the common masses for good.
@ntsyed4 жыл бұрын
To the contrary, he was offered a high position by the same government that had awarded him Nishan-e-Imtiaz in 1979. That's right, by Zia ul Haq's allegedly "Mullah" regime from 1977-1988. Abdussalam, on the other hand, chose to live in UK until his death. While no one knows the real reason, imbeciles like you have perpetuated the myth that the Zia had kicked him out. Corrupt bureaucracy and severe lack of resources in Pakistan are prime suspects to have caused his departure. However, if one just looks at his profile on Wikipedia, he'd see that the man had two wives - a Pakistani woman whom he married in 1949, and 18-19 years later he married a Briton in 1968. One could also argue that Ms Louise Johnson was the reason for his move to greener pastures. Plus, the income in GBP coupled with worldly conveniences and comforts available in UK are far more attractive for materialistic men.

All the work he is crediting to the renaissance and the enlightenment period was done in Europe, USA didn't even exist at the time. 7:01 waffling. Parvez saab, I like your style language and topics and am a fan of yours since 4 years. Most of your videos are in urdu making it difficult for me to get the whole of it, but still I watch them. The elephant in the room is religion. Kids are taught religion like a science. They are deterred from asking questions, like how did mohd fly burak in a night and could not that have been his dream? Kids whose interoggatory temper has been nipped off as a bud do not grow as good scientists. It is not surprising that theory a community that does not accept evolution finds it hard to explore the intricacies of the atoms and numbers. So to be precise, just like any other Islamic countries, my beloved "mausi" and brothers and sisters will not make it your dream unless and otherwise, they embolden themselves to show religion its place. We Indians are no better, by fast catching up to the regressive education style of our neighbors as evidenced by the National Science Congress, inaugurated by the dump PM who claims India's mythical elephant God as the evidence of a plastic surgery, while being backed by a paper on ancient aero science of india as evidenced by a demon king flying a chariot in our myth Ramayana. Religion is the root of almost all evils now and the same is holding Pakistan from becoming a progressive nation. The same religion has occurred as a curse upon Pakistan that they have been unable to see themselves slowly submitting to the Chinese global expansionists.

Adding to his words, what type of study is he talking about? Actually, If you are student it is very very important for you: plz ask the question starting with "why" from your teacher or at least think yourself e.g why do we study physical quantities in physics, why charges attract/repell? Why force produce acceleration in the body? Why nucleus is present in the center of a cell, why electrons revolve around nucleus? why matter is of 4 types? As a whole, whatever the teacher says, put a "why" before it and throw it to him in return. After you apply this rule then gradually you will start becoming philosophical and then your mind will be like a scientist (you will be curious) and like the hoodboy.

He is at least trying, and hats off to his courage. By the way, he is an MIT graduate and could have easily settled in USA as a Professor. Instead, he decided to give it back to Pakistan. As an Indian, I will always be happy to see a developing Pakistan for my own benefit. If my neighbor is not doing well, it will affect me.

Few fallacies in this lecture. 1. Prof. PD repeatedly states "" we Muslims"" not realizing his ancestors were Hindus. Even his hero, Dr. Abdus Salam, in his Nobel lecture, talks of Islamic science, Greeks, Chinese and Inca mathematics but refer to Indian Science in passing when he mentions Maharaja Ranjit Singh, as a foot note!! Of Two branches of ancient maths, Algebra and Geometry, Algebra was developed in India. India's Mathematical legacy is very ancient and has nothing to do with Book Keeping Exercise during Mughal period. I can go on and on. Prof. Hoodbhoy intentions may be good but badly ill informed like Prof. Salam. You should take pride in the lineage of Aryabhatta and Bhaskara not on vagabonds called Mughals. You identify with invaders?? Donot you people have any shame left??

he knows very little about any history except the islamic ones
@venkatraman96993 жыл бұрын
@ Piyush: There is NO Islamic Science, Science is just Science. Religion and Science does not go together. All shastras are to describe "Athindriyas"(matters beyond the realm of senses). Science deals with what you see. Islam followers have been brought up to believe that everything is contained in Quran and it is perfect (far,far from it). When this basic belief is countered with evidence (evolution theory), they go bonkers. Paleontology is the finest proof for evolution

@@venkatraman9699 did I mention anything about Islamic science? I only mentioned that his views are coloured by lslamic indoctrination..although he may or may not realise it.
@venkatraman96993 жыл бұрын
Sorry Piyush. Didn't mean that way. I was very upset when I read Professor Abdus Salam Nobel Lecture where he eulogized " Islamic Science " completely ignoring Indian contribution. He is as ribbing even Discovery of Numerals to Incas ignoring widely accepted Indian origin. Whether these Pakistanis accept or not, their ancestors were Hindus and their mother land was Bharath.

Why waste our brains in learning mathematics. Our brains are very precious because they are extremely rare. One in one million heads.

Stephen Hawking is not the best of last 4 decades Edward Witten and Steven Weinberg are.

True... but he is the "best known". Witten, Susskind, Weinberg, Seiberg, Maldacena, and of course, Alan Guth.

that is beside the main point. The main point is, Pakistan cannot have a _major_ scientist or a _major_ scientific breakthrough if things go on like that
