Emotions aside it makes more business sense to trade tee. The wr market has a huge drop ofd after him, business wise its smarter for the cap, had a bunch of drops last year, misses 1-3 game foe hamstring issues every year. As long as the value is there, do it.

Meanwhile, Tee is the best safety blanket in the league. Re-signing him and building up the Oline through the draft should be the move. Without restructuring Burrow's contract like he's said will happen, we already have almost 50mil in space. We can give 20 a year at least to Tee and still have enough for Jamar's max dollar deal he's looking for. The salary cap is increasing more and more. If Higgins plays one year under the tag then paying him should not be an issue.

Bengals fan, Tee is going to make $21.6M under the tag this year, projected $26M if they tag him next year. That’s WR1 money, and he would be WR1 a lot of places but not in Cincy. I just saw a projected trade for him by the Patriots where they sign him for 4 years at $18M per. The tag is not killing him. The Bengals drafted Andrei Iosivas last year who looks pretty good. You can’t pay everybody.

Bengals have 9 picks currently in the draft and we could get a mid to late 1st round pick or Tee at the least an early 2nd round pick with additional pick(s) in this draft. We could turn 9 picks into say 10-11 picks. Bengals are in a win win situation. Keep Tee and keep the same offensive firepower, trade Tee and collect extra drafts to find a replacement for Tee and address other issues on defense.

If you think your QB is worth $55M/yr then he shouldn't need to be surrounded with a lot of talent. Look at Mahomes. He signed for $45M/yr and they had to let Hill go. Mahomes has gone on to win 2 straight SB's with a TE as a #1 receiver and not much of a running game. You can't walk the walk then don't take the money. And don't get me wrong, I love Joey B. But he needs to earn his money and carry the team.

He's never played a full season, he gets nicked up a lot, and the Bengals can franchise tag him this year and next year and pay him less guaranteed than his agent wants.
