Fantastic video. If you're not paying close attention like me you might accidentally put the deadbolt in upside down and cause a headache trying to line everything up a few steps down the way. Don't be like me and make sure the deadbolt is the right side up

just got this lock today and the installation was a breeze. trying to figure out how to code it was a bit of a struggle for me but then I got the hang of it. Either way, I think overall a very solid device. My only critique would be to add an app for easier coding / settings access in an app UI. Thanks for the vid.

good video, kind of a pain you’d need to scan a fingerprint in order to delete it but for the price, you’d kind of have to expect some limitations in capabilities for stuff like that

Yeah that’s definitely a downside, you’d have to factory reset it at that point if you don’t want to see someone again 😬

What's the recommended solution for Doors that not only have this keypad-deadbolt but also a separate lock on the doorknob itself, and a different key? Most doors that have a deadbolt also have another lock on the doorknob. (the problem being that if it gets inadvertently locked then the key is gonna be required to unlock it from the outside. For some people, especially the elderly, they may turn the lock on the doorknob and lock themselves out, trying to use the keypad or their fingerprint to get back in. now for most folks this isn't going to be a problem until they do it by accident the first time. For a young person it's inconvenient to get locked out, but for an elderly person could be a complete catastrophe)

I bought this for my parents who are older. I registered my fingerprint and it worked great and unlocked. I then registered theirs and it registered but doesn’t work to unlock. Have you heard any issues with maybe not being able to read older peoples finger prints.

I can’t get the fingerprint mode to work. It does all the sounds and lights correctly but will not open the door.

Not sure about this lock, but with some other locks I’ve used, when the battery is running low, the fingerprint reader stops working. Does it let you register a fingerprint without issue? Maybe try a different finger to test it. If you’re batteries are fine and no fingers work, maybe it’s defective 🤔

With a piece of scotch tape, I was literally able to take fingerprints off of the doorhandle and stick that tape on that fingerprint lock an it worked
