Ymir didn't eat Marco. I think your confusing the two people. Remember Ymir ate an un-named person on Reiner's, Bertthholdt's, and Annie's team before they were in the walls in the past. And remember Marco died off-screen in the Attack on Trost district, the city where Eren first turned into a Titan. By that time Ymir already had the titan shifting powers

Bertholdt and Reiner actually did already say their friend's name last season. But I just assumed Vince misspoke because Marcel is a similar sounding name to Marco.

@@seancarroll5803 while that's correct in that Marco is and continues to be his reason for changing, it's definitely Eren who he's saying he hates. Marco actually was the opposite of Marlowe in a lot of ways with his optimism and friendliness. Marlowe is Eren but less angry and without powers.

Ymir didn't eat Marco, she ate a friend of Bertholt and Reiner called Marcel. Marco died in season one during the battle of Trost. Also it's crazy that every reactor I watch miss it when Kenny says Levi's last name is Ackerman😅But I'm not criticizing because I read the manga so I had the time to read and process the information which is not always the case with subtitles
