🌟 New Time-Locked Progression Servers Alert! 🌟
Today I look at the FAQ for the bew 2024 Time-Locked Progression (TLP) servers, Teek and Tormax! Launching on May 22, these servers promise a classic EQ experience with a twist. Here’s what you can expect:
🔹 Server Launch: Both servers kick off in the Ruins of Kunark
🔹 Unlock Cadence: New expansions will unlock every 8-12 weeks, with early expansions unlocking more frequently.
🔹 Experience Rates: Starts slower than live servers but will increase at certain expansion points.
🔹Legacy Experience: Not included on these servers.
🔹 Focus Effects: Unavailable until the Shadows of Luclin expansion.
🔹 Random Loot on Teek: Rare NPCs will drop loot from a pool of similar level NPCs within the same expansion.
🔹 Free Trade Enabled on Teek
🔹 True Box: Initially enabled, allowing only 1 client per computer, transitioning to Relaxed True Box and eventually removed.

I would guess XP pots account for at least 50% of their revenue from the shop, which makes the xp grind SLIGHTLY more manageable but also means they'll never release a super fast xp server.

Did this announcement even shed any light on either server? I feel like none of this was any new information at all. I expected you'd cover specifics about the name reservation system as well, but, to be fair, that *was* a separate announcement.

@VanPeeples-sh5wp i haven't decided what my two box will be.. was leaning bard or Necro, just because I want my shaman to my main and not my box so want something easy to box. And not sure if ikky or human depending on if I pick bard or Necro
