What can I do on Teek to stop certain players from keeping certain areas on 24/7 lockdown? Friends and myself have been trying to help our Monk friend in getting his shaman heads. However an Iksar Monk named, Grand. Has been keeping the camp on lockdown for over 3 weeks now. I honestly don't know what to do since he is just selling the heads for several krono.

I was lucky enough to experience the original EQ, it was a game were dying had awful penalties. Todays mmorpgs are a cakewalk in comparison. They lost social aspect, dicks can get away with being dicks.

I would gladly pay an EQ monthly subscription and abandon life if Daybreak opens a legit classic server that includes: Old maps, Old UI/ char models (optional) Boats instead of Transporters Old Research recipes Classic combat, ducking, underwater, and boat music In-game GMs Servers Locked at Trilogy, Luclin, and PoP ... and most importantly NO CRONO

Ok, so I am late to try this. I had bought Lourion's right before Teek launch so I had it but never figured out how/why to use it. So I already have 5 characters I've leveled up (28 Rng, 21 ENC, 17 Druid, 17 Mage, 31 Necro). I want to do more non-caster classes. After watching this - with my Druid, I can port around a bit already, so use that char to get around and then bring out my SK/MNK/WAR persona alt??? I read from the comments you can only switch at safe points. But my question is - does a persona take up you count of slots? Do both characters show there on the character selection screen or only your first one that was created and then added a persona?

I wasted an entire day camping at the jail for bone key and bone necklace on Teek which never dropped, due to this stupid video. Took an hour in FM.

Enjoying teek so far and fully decked in tower gear also, but I do wonder how long until it just becomes meaningless because of the lack of item goals left. We're so far from Velious as well...

i see a lot of people complain about these servers with them not being close enough to classic eq. them people should go play p99 instead of complaining about the newer servers🤣🤣

Tower ruined server I spend 12 hours seeking druid gear and was still six pieces short.

future tower gear should be nerfed for TLP for sure. it shouldn't be BIS. it makes raiding obsolete almost. It should be usable gear for sure, but its tuned to live servers, not TLP.

Um out of era stuff, not scaled? What is the point then of a TLP? Glad I decided not to try this out. Not the same at all. May as well play current expansion on live. Truly disappointing, glad I took a listen.

I am getting the itch to play EQ again , but the tower is a turn off, it doesn't blend into EQ during that time era. =)

Dislike the ooc regen. Classic EQ was all about efficient mana management, that was what set efficient groups apart from people who didn't know what they were doing. Also maining necro and bard this fucks both my mains. Necro is at max raid DPS output already without running oom, so it does nothing for me while other casters will now catch up. Who needs sustain when burst now has unlimited mana as well. And Bard for mana regen will be much less in demand for groups.

Changes that only benefit a few people I just don't really care for. The people that got to 60 in a week and then started camping all the named such that people grinding in a traditional way can't get loot... those asshats don't really deserve to have the loop that they have got to be more valuable. Until planes of power exclusivity can go eat a dick

Wanting everyone else to be brought down so that they can stand above other people sounds communist to me. Now if people were asking for some kind of function with the extended Target window making it so that you take more damage based on how many things you have attacking you.. that's interesting and applies to everyone simultaneously.

I love the tower gear!. Go to Tormax or P99 if you want the classic experience

Those items should not be available on Teek imo. Why even play if you get everything so easy? That's not classic Everquest ...

I don't mind the tower loot at all. The gap between group and raid loot has always been to wide, to the point where I almost didn't want non-raiders in my groups because they just couldn't play at an acceptable level with their shite gear.

Great video. Honestly I don't like the new change. Everyone wants things now and can't wait. I want new rules. Like if you die you lose 2 levels or you can't play for a week. Steel is fun but I hate how people camp low level camps to kill the name.. I have a slow time finding places to level

I love the out of combat regen change. The tower gear is a problem. Not 60 yet, I’ll do it for the great gear, but def hurts the endgame at this time.

This is why instead of a new TLP . They need to Start from the ground up. Re-write the Game with new code. Not Just a Graphics skin. But actually balance everything we have learned throughout the 25 years. The game can be hard like the old days but also the modern QOL stuff that was put in . Broken Quest and Factions , 3 different alchemy systems why? can be fixed and a actual progression. Also Security eliminating all the early exploits. Also the way Krono is deployed in the game. You just can't do this on the old base game. The Game in its current state is a patchwork of different things that don't make sense or relate to each other.

I was very excited going into Teek and got to 60 by end of memorial day weekend. I've already quit due to the anniversary tower. It just ruined the server and the game for me on every level

No tower for me, ran the key quest for lavastorm, I felt like I was cheating. Didn't even do the tower itself. Got a quick 200plat, but I'm going to pass on the tower. At least for now. I like keeping it more original. Good for those that want it, I suppose.

I was maining an SK on launch, by lvl 41 he was decently geared, running an Argent Protector as my main wep, and I couldn’t believe how weak he was I could barely solo anything close to my lvl. I just rerolled to a necro and I already feel I’m matching the dps at lvl 16. I agree with this not being a real classic server and I’m all good with having faster med times. It just seems odd to buff casters MORE while not addressing the classic EQ issue of most melee classes being almost useless aside from their VERY specific grouping rolls

Tower ruined leveling for me... What's the point of having Mischief style loot and then invalidating 99% of the items that drop? Makes no sense to me. I figured it would also invalidate raid loot, so I stopped logging in. Sounds like that out of combat change will make Alchemy worth less (but not worthless), make fungi irrelevant (99.5% of items now useless?)... but at least makes Enchanter's slightly less essential in caster groups. Just seems like awful decision making all around, after such a promising conceptual idea for the 25th.

I was never really that interested in Teek, but having the Tower gear plus the pre-GoD out of combat regen just makes, well, everything up to GoD laughable. People are absolutely steamrolling content, and it's just going to get a lot easier with the regen changes. But it'll all catch up to itself right around GoD (and then the new TLP(s) arrive, lol), and will feel fairly "normal" again. DPG just absolutely broke the early TLP cycle is all.

I get that it's more 'fun' for some people to just have all the stats and be unstoppable, but what do you actually do when you're unstoppable? Just farm kr? For what? So you can run 6 accounts and run through the content even more often/faster? Top guilds are clearing all 'classic' raids in like 3 hours, just stomping everything with zerg tactics. Even VP is a joke. Idk, I wish at least the raid content was more involved. I felt more afraid in Guk than I did in hate or fear or VP. Idk if this is just a Kunark era issue, but the raiding is extremely lackluster and I'm disappointed I spent the time grinding to 60 to check it out.

I've played enough TLPs that I don't mind them switching it up with tower. It makes it more enjoyable to play since during raids everyone is much more relaxed since it's much easier now.

I've been leveling really slow this go around mainly having internet issues, but I have 9 running right now, I haven't done too much research into the Tower Quests yet, I saw the level 2 mage trick. So you being all pro, what's the best way to tower gear 9 chars/accounts? Do I get all the keys on each / pass them to each other, and when you farm the currency from the quests, to gear all 9 chars fastest should I be doing level 2 mages on each account, or is that over kill and I can get all I need only running a few and passing the currency a long? I have seen a few guides on the quests and the keys but wishing someone would make a strategy video to gear up multiple chars / accounts, I guess I might have to, any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

First let me say, I am mostly a "classic" type of person. Meaning EQ should be more like when it was back in the old days. BUT, I don't view Teek as a "classic" server, it's not. So why not do the Tower if you can. You should. Have fun on this server, it's changing the way EQ is played, sure. Sometimes we need a bit of change of pace.
