Of my many yrs luxury shopping, had two weird experiences with security - one at Chanel in Amsterdam when a guard yelled “NO PICTURES! 👿👺”. And one at Hermes Madison when a guard tried to stop my husband from heading to the dressing room the SA had set up for us 🙄🤦🏿♀️. Sure, they may be “doing their jobs” but they should do their jobs without such obvious bias. This goes for all security and police! The couple was very ignorant - a reflection of their poor upbringing 🙂.

Ugh the whole no pictures thing really annoys me 😒 They don't have to be rude about it or put a sign out side. And the Pony MA security guard trying to block your husband, hold this L 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ Yes they are doing their jobs but they need to stop power tripping off us. It's so corny 🐸🐸

@@hayaglamazonluxe so corny!! Here in the US, they profile individuals, almost always minorities. Meanwhile, 45% of luxury retail theft is done by organized crime groups. 60% of the individuals who steal from luxury retail are women ages 18-35 from all ethnicities. So security’s actions are clearly biased and doing nothing to deter actual theft. I hate the no pics rule - shopping is an experience, and we should be able to memorialize it.

I always call my credit card issuers to let them know that i am traveling and may make large purchases. I had it happen once in McQueen when i was making a 3,000$ purchase on a new card. I had to call the bank from the store. I was very embarrassed but the SA wasn’t rood about it at all and it took a while to clear up.

Never a dull moment at these luxury boutiques. I get the profiling of teens at a local luxury boutique, especially if looking around without an adult. This had happened to me in Hong Kong one high school summers while I had gone out shopping w/o one of my aunts. I had a lady following me around. I was annoyed by that so made a scene with the lady and she ended up escorting me out the shop. lol
@hayaglamazonluxeКүн бұрын
Not being escorted out 😂❤ I think with teens, I agree. Most of the time minors won't have money to spend like that. Of course they shouldn't have made her cry.

You’re right about ignoring the security guards. I’ve never experienced that problem. The disrespect from these SA’s is just wrong. I would tell them off and get someone else to help me.

People get so effected so easily. I always get followed in lux stores, but whether its a racial thing or not, you can choose to not be offended and continue on.
@hayaglamazonluxeКүн бұрын
It depends on what happened. Racial profiling absolutely happens and we have to acknowledge that. That said I'm not leaving a store if I'm happy to be there and if I'm not being profiled. If I'm profiled, I will leave and won't give them a cent of my money moving forward. It depends on what happens.

I worked in a boutique when i was young. We stayed with “followed” every customer. No one was left to just go through the store. You should not be left alone in a nice boutique; that is just the culture of shopping in these stores. It is not meant to single anyone out or say anything about what we think you are up to. However, There is a demographic that statistically is more likely to shop lift. Look it up; it’s not who anyone would suspect.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Love your videos, you make me laugh every time! When I’ve been followed by security guards, instead of me being frustrated and angry I frustrate them 😂. I start asking them their opinions about the products and asking how their day is going and how long they’ve worked there. They either get annoyed with me and go away or become friendly and eventually go away. Either way, they go away and leave me alone 🤣! Also, Mexico is NOT part of Central America, it’s a completely separate. Part of my family is Mexican. 🇲🇽 💕🫶🏽

Chanel being helpful? That is not something you hear everyday 😂😂😂. Since these stores all seem to always be busy, l would suggest making an appointment if you know what you want and definitely plan on buying that day. This should HOPEFULLY lessen the chance of having a bad experience.
