My husband and I have been sleeping apart for about 15 years now. We were always on a completely different sleep schedule thanks to our jobs, it started out with him falling asleep on the couch almost every night, then he started taking a pillow out, then a blanket and after about a year I stopped asking if he was coming to bed. It really helps, especially now since he has started to snore so loud, for us both to get a better nights sleep. I used to be embarrassed to tell people that we don't sleep in the same bed, but I feel like it is more common now. I do agree with other commenters about having him do a sleep analysis. That is something I talk about to my husband now, mostly because he now complains about not getting a good night sleep often.

The plum cherries are so good! So for sleeping arrangements... we share the same bed, however hubby works nights. So even on his days off, he comes to bed a little before I get up in the morning.

@ItsJustKelli I had seen them at Walmart, but they were expensive and only had six in the bag! I was so happy to find them at Sam's.

Earplugs may help. Although, as a fellow ‘small ear canal’ lady, I do understand that may not work for all night wear. My wife works nights & often gets home around 4-5am. I stay home with our daughter. Our daughter wakes up 2-4 times per night which wakes me up. Then it often wakes us up when my wife comes home as well. I now totally understand why some couples sleep in separate rooms as well. Sometimes, she sleeps on the guest bed until our daughter wakes up & we come out of the room.

My wife & I have a similar dynamic with judging people’s character. I love understanding what makes people tick. So, I tend to be very forgiving of people’s habits & behavior even to the detriment of my own mental health. She tends to call it quick. I’ve had a very hard time keeping friends long term. I’m at a phase in life, where I’m more comfortable doing my own thing with my family & having friends that are really more close acquaintances.

I’m sorry you went through that wisdom teeth experience. The things we allow to happen to some people in terms of medical care is deplorable. I have vision insurance but have a very expensive prescription so I still have to pay a lot out of pocket. Every time I pay it, I think how if I were less financially privileged, I would not be able to afford good vision. That just doesn’t feel right to me.
@ItsJustKelli Жыл бұрын
Agreed! I almost paid for a man's insulin because he couldn't afford the $120 bill, but he wouldn't let me, I assume out of pride.

Okay, suuuuper jelly that 2 of your subscribers got to meet you!! And yes. I now understand why couples sleep separately lol I’ll take your snoring and raise you restless leg syndrome! We’ve been together 25 years. Love, love, love my hubby! We go to sleep touching, it’s usually my feet on his leg. But between his snoring and RLS I’m like man, what I wouldn’t do for a spare bed! Hahaha! You could always sneak into Ava’s old bed.

My bf keeps putting off getting a sleep study. He has the worst snoring I’ve ever experienced. Our room is also way too hot, even with 3 fans on and the AC. I sleep on the couch most days and my body hates me for it.

+1 on the lack of sleep from partner snoring. Glad I'm not the only one. Has Jon ever tried anything like those nose strips or a Cpap?

He’s going to make an appointment with a sleep specialist bc I’m 99% sure he has sleep apnea. Like sometimes I put my head near his chest when he’s sleeping like he’s a newborn bc I don’t think he’s breathing 🤦🏻♀️

@@ItsJustKelli haha that’s cool! I wish I was a more sporty person, I love being out walking the courses but when it comes time to throw that disc and it goes a different way than I intended I get so pissed! 😂. I’m not even a competitive person (for the most part) but when I can get something after the first few tries I hate it. So now I am just the “caddy” which is just fine with me I can enjoy the walk and the day and not be mad cause I suck!

uff, your wisdom teeth experience sounds horrible! I got mine taken out in two sittings (one side each) when i was around 18, too, with only local anaesthesia. While the injections for the anaesthetic were not nice (they are a bunch of needle injections, after all), it definitely worked, and i didn't feel a thing at all during the procedure (besides some pressure because yeah, they were working on my bones). I brought my music and headphones so i could just zone out. And my dentist was constantly checking in with me, making sure i was comfortable (they were ready to administer more local anaesthesia if necessary, for example), and the team would stop anything they were doing as soon as i only lifted a finger, asking me if everything was alright. Getting wisdom teeth removed under general anaesthesia is not really common here (Europe), local is the standard, and they would only do general if there is some particular reason for it. So for example if in the past you have been an anxiety patient, or if they caught the developing situation way too late and now the surgery is going to be much more involved than usual. Sorry for the rant, but your story just made me wonder, how many things must have gone wrong there for you. And why on earth the team didn't improve their local anaesthesia when it was more than clear that it wasn't doing it's job. In any case I'm glad Eva had a more comfortable experience.

Mine were impacted which according to my new dentist, I should have been under for, but when you have limited resources and funds it's hard to get the best medical care which is ridiculous.

(Genuinely curious, no shade on bringing your pet in) I see you brought Georgie into the store, is Ohio lenient with letting pets in more places? In my state we can only go into like, PetSmart with our dogs unless they are service animals, which is a terrible shame. Wish we could being ours into the craft store! 😢
@ItsJustKelli Жыл бұрын
Just depends on the store, we specifically like this joannes location because the manager loves dogs and likes to bring her's in so the entire store is dog friendly and they even have treats at the counter. You can also bring them to Lowes, Home depot, bass pro shop, and just yesterday I saw someone had a dog at Sam's club and no one blinked an eye lol. I don't take our dogs anywhere that doesn't openly say they allow dogs however.

I also forgot to ask, do you remember where you got that lacy green tank top you're wearing about 23 mins in when you're talking about husband snoring problems?
@andreaberezowski998 Жыл бұрын
Please get him to go get tested for sleep apnea. You'll get sleep, he'll get better sleep and avoid the health problems that can happen if it goes untreated.
