The media call him a courageous victim. More like a courageous Survivor. A true legend.

Yes. Let’s not think of him as a victim...that is disempowering...he clearly does not think of himself as a victim, otherwise he would have just said “woe is me” and stay in a wheelchair. No, he is a victor. Someone who is victorious against all odds, now that’s powerful!

First of all, they said the person who shot him thought he was someone else. It was a case of mistaken identity. It's people like you that make our world shit. There is a girl who was in my class who graduated with me recently. She went blind after a car accident and is in a wheelchair. But she'd been practicing standing up again and she walked onstage to get her diploma too. I was really inspired by her determination and her patience onstage, even though her legs must've hurt. She'd been having a difficult time at school but she had a sense of humor that was unrivaled. I'm also blind and graduated with academic honors but I didn't suffer anything as severe as this. I was so proud to be her classmate in graduation. She had only started high school that year and was graduating with me so she could go to an adult transition program. I bet she's doing so well there.

@xyPERSON3 жыл бұрын
@Daniela But the point is that they do live in that neighborhood so as long as they live there it is considered their home. Unfortunately a lot of inner-city neighborhoods have crime but to those people in such neighborhoods who are fed up with crime and only want to live in peace these neighborhoods are still their home. It would be so nice if we lived in a world where all of the street gangs, hooligans, thugs, drug dealers, and pimps could be rid of for good but unfortunately we live in the real world. @DivineBean ah yes, the American approach. More guns to stop guns.
@Anonymous-xr8hx3 жыл бұрын
@DivineBean I live in the UK and gun crime is very very rare. It only occurs in a select few places in the country. The majority of people will never have to worry about gun crime in their lives. And the idea that gun crime is replaced by knife crime here is a myth. Knife crime is prevalent but it again occurs only in certain places and at nowhere near the rate that gun crime occurs in the US. The solution is not more guns it is no guns. It may be against your constitution but your constitution is completely outdated. It's principles simply cannot be applied to 21st Century society. Guns do not equal freedom. If you introduce gun restrictions you are not taking away people's freedom because there are so many other developed countries out there with freedom and no guns.
@Jason-qx9hn3 жыл бұрын
Yep. I just love that Americans are the only people that would be fine with their teachers being taught to execute shooters in front of school kids. Like what else, give the kids guns next??? Makes sense to me, 100 guns vs 1 guns, would definitely solve the issue. Just makes no sense to anyone in Europe. But nope you gotta have your guns.
@dmn41633 жыл бұрын
@@Anonymous-xr8hx yea but look at the UK, slowly transforming into a totalitarian nightmare. It would be very difiicult for the US to get to the same level of authority because people with guns would be angry with the government. Switzerland has plently of guns but barely any gun crime. No guns would definitely work to stop the majority of gun crime but even cases like this would continue as guns will still be used by criminals but now people who follow the law will not have guns

@jayvir jadeja God gave us free will so we could choose our own choices in life because people are ALWAYS complaining about "Oh God makes so many rules and he's strict and judging and blah blah blah!" So he gave us free will go make our own choices while he goes guys down path. We choose our own path, he sents people to help us. Bad people uses their free will for evil, that's why evil exists. God DOES control everything, but we have to play our parts too because now you're the type of person that first went to complaining about God making certain rules to "Oh, why doesn't God take care of it?" What EXACTLY do you want? You and others get made at God making rules and "having control over us" but when he gives us free will and bad people are what make this world Hell (And Satan is at fault too), you start complaining again about why he ISN'T controlling us. What is it that you want to finally be satisfied with what God, father in Heaven?
@twinklepops10153 жыл бұрын
The whole point of this life is a test, to prove to God that you'll try you best to obey Him. If God intervened with the problems that occur to us, we would see Him, and that would lead us to definitively obeying Him because we know for sure that He exists. However if we havent seen Him, our spirituality is being tested. The test in itself is your belief in Him, would you believe in Him simply because it feels right, without seeing Him, with no doubt that you'll meet Him at a later date. I also learnt something about hardships in life. When you suffer a hardship for you, God increases you goodness and piety and erases the bad mistakes you've done. You have to know that whatever happens in life is what God has planned to happen. The more you suffer, the less sins you have, the easier chance of pleasing God and being rewarded. Perhaps your suffering might be your entry into Paradise. x
