I once taught in a preparatory school. Believe me when I say that I never had encountered such a group of sad and dysfunctional kids. This was mostly a residential school, which was even worse. The parents literally ship them off so as not to be bothered. I now teach in a community college with mostly working and middle class students of all backgrounds, and while they have the typical "young people issues", my God, they are far more normal.

I had a friend who went to a private school for rich kids in HS. He used to tell me about how kids would be in class doing coke in front of the teachers and leaving any time they want and the teachers couldn't say anything cause the parents were paying big money for those kids to graduate and go to prestigious universities. Some parents were even "donating" extra to the "school" which ofc meant the kids of said parents were even more untouchable.

These parents were literally looking at their kid clinging to life because of an overdose and were in denial she’d OD’d, so they clearly didn’t know what was going on. Based on my personal knowledge it's always the kids with super strict parents, that focus on nothing but school/sports that go off the deep end with substance abuse when they finally get some freedom that's why you be strict but also let them be a kid too

It was a different time back then. People thought the only users were the addicts on the street corners, or the people selling themselves for a dose. It has unfortunately become a lot more mainstream now (or just now eyes are open, and it’s seen as mainstream now), so anyone can be a user, from the conservative church goer to the airline pilot that is about to have the lives of 300 people in their hands. You never know. Now it’s a rarity to meet someone younger that hasn’t at least tried drugs, and if they haven’t, it’s often due to a religious thing, as that often seems to be the only reason that holds firm enough for kids to say no to drugs.

The average amount of friends I have smoke weed. I’m told to be of higher caliber intelligence yet I do edibles like no one’s business. Went to a private liberal arts college. In poor neighborhoods, students w/good grades didn't do drugs. It was the ones w/the bad grades that did. In college, students w/the best grades were the ones doing drugs. It was shocking to me.

Being a POC girl, from a poor neighborhood, and given the chance to go to a prep school: that girl probably had a lot of expectations put on her. Her dad saw her scholarship to a prep school as their ticket out of the bad neighborhoods and to make a better life for the family. She probably had to deal with a lot more stress than her brother because she had to perform at her best in order to stay at the school. Which meant her dad probably became extremely strict and wouldn't tolerate any grades lower than a B+. She probably wasn't allowed to be an actual teenager and have fun so she turned to the very thing her dad was trying to get them away from: drug dealers.

I used to think they were all like that. Then when I was in between jobs I worked as a janitor to make ends meet at a private school. Those kids were really respectful to me. The people who disrespected me were working class people who thought they were a step above me because they had a job at Walmart. Money doesn't make you who you are. It just amplifies it. There are plenty of good people out there who happen to be wealthy.

When I went to school the kids spoke about growing dope and buying tabs"Acid". When My kids started high school I told them about entry drugs and entry specials designed to hook kids. I was told who the kids suspected was a dealer and every time they brought it up I explained that the person they think is the big guy is just the underage patsy to take the fall. Ended up with a few of the top students doing drugs on line in uniform and the school never even expeled the students just covered it up. An ordinary student got expelled for smoking in uniform. Drugs are a rich mans game, poor kids can't afford them unless they sell and thats why they get introduced to them.

This wasn't just some rando shooting the place up. They had 2 or 3 armed guys (with pistols) watching the door, but it made no difference, whoever attacked the place killed all of those guys in a gunfight, and then went in back and killed the party goers. Methinks this wasn't just a party, it was a trap house (hence the armed guards) and whoever came to take them out knew there would be armed guards and had both the will and the ability to bring enough people / firepower to deal with that. So IMHO the mob or similar organized crime did this.

Ok so basically what happened was that two of the guys killed were enforcers for a heroin dealer. The dealer ripped off a Heroin Smuggler. The smuggler then informed the producer, who gave the order to the smuggler to kill the dealer and get his product back. The smuggler hires an Albanian mobster to find the drugs. The mobster tortues the dealer and finds out about the drug house (in the process he kills the dealer). He and some associates go there and kill the enforcers, the girls and get the product back. The killer is then placed at the scene of the dealer's murder and is arrested. He then on the smuggler, revealing how they smuggle the drugs into the country. The smuggler is caught during a transaction and arrested. To get a lenient sentence he flips on the producer, claiming he gave the order. Working with the police the smuggler (wearing a wiretap) meets with the producer (who happens to be in a diplomatic car). The producer is arrested for the murders and drug trafficking. While arrested it's revealed he has connections to the US Army and the State Department, mainly because he works against the taliban (the drugs are coming from afghanistan). Anyway the producer goes on trial for being caught (via wiretap) having a conversation with the smuggler that implies he ordered the hit. The trial mostly focuses on whether or not he gave the order. Ultimately he's found guilty.

People need to look and see people below them to know how lucky they are and be thankful, and never look up and chase false dreams! Yes work hard, but don't make chasing wealth, or beautiful women deprive you from what you have (simplicity of life, real happiness and no stress of revenues and profits) and the people around you like family and friends!!! God hasn't made all of us equal then what's the purpose of our creation and being sent to earth? Obviously we are here to worship and to live a life according to rules or God, and the wealthy share with the poor, and the poor share with poor and be kind to the wealthy and to all people never mind their race or gender or their age!

You get high GPA by being intelligent, and to achieve that intelligent you need to study, and you need time to study, if all your time are used on study, there won't be any time to be used on drug. The sad part is, you stressed when study too much, being pressured too much to not be a disappointment, and that pressure lead to usage of nicotine, alcohol or even drug to calm themselves, to a point addicted or even overdosed.

I’ve always thought the opposite - hardly any of the characters seem to actually care that their loved one has died! Very little emotion from the victim’s’ families in this show. There was an episode in season 12 where the mother cried buckets when told her child had died (as you would expect), but it was revealed at the very end that she had actually killed her! So the only person who cried when told their child was dead was actually the killer! People emote much better in Law and Order: SVU.

My guess is that it's for the same reason they give very obviously fake phone numbers - because someone or many someones called and made a nuisance of themselves. An unfortunately large amount of people believe that what they see in crime shows (and TV in general, tbh) is real rather than representative or falsified for entertainment. My guess is that fans showed up to specific addresses/locations for one reason or another related to the show - either to attempt to catch a perp that got away, to try to find further evidence to "help" the investigators, to threaten resident to confess or give witness, etc.
