I think I figured out the order of deaths. First: the daughter since 2 alcohol bottles were found in the room it means there was another person, and that person obviously took advantage of how drunk the young girl probably was, using their opportunity to kill her, making her the first victim. Second: the mother, yes I know that the husband was in their, but he could've easily left to go to the bathroom explaining why he was found in the hallway, using the opportunity of the father leaving his wife alone, the killer strike, but this wasn't it, from how the scene of the bedroom looked, there was probably a struggle, explaining why the wife was not on the bed where she previously was. Third: the father, we don't know if the intruder had more than one weapon, but it seems the murder might have been planned from how the crime scene looks, so it might've been, meaning the intruder fled with the other weapon, first taking a picture of the fathers dead body, then leaving their knife in his neck. Final: the young boy, from the bloody footprints and the boy being found in his closet, means that the young boy must've woken up and saw the murder, and the only place he could hide was in his closet, explaining the bloody footprints from the killer, since the killer probably saw the boy and chased him, explaining how the boy was found dead in his closet hiding from his familys killer.

Wrong. Zoe, then dad, then mum, and the little boy last because it took time to find him hiding. Zoe’s male friend was jealous because she had a boyfriend - he caught her texting him and killed her. Then he got dad when he was coming out of the bathroom in the hallway. Then mum in the bedroom - big struggle. Then a few minutes of looking for the little boy. The killer tried to use 9/11 as an excuse - he was all traumatised and couldn’t help such a jealous reaction - total bollocks.

You must be confusing this with a different episode. In this one the daughter brought her boyfriend and the runaway girl over to her house to hang out. The boyfriend found out the daughter had the hots for another guy and went ballistic. That alerted the parents and he ended up killing them too. Not wanting there to be any witnesses he hunted down the little brother and killed him too.

This reminds me of a woman I know who said that she would never let her child spend the night at his friends house because she didn’t trust his parents like that. If you’re not going to trust someone enough that you’ll let them take care of your child, you probably shouldn’t let your child be friends with their child. I know if I thought someone were a predator I wouldn’t let my kid anywhere near them and I certainly wouldn’t let them be friends with their child

At least that’s what I was told my whole life. The girl, Molly, is in fact not named Molly, and was a runaway suffering from short-term memory loss. She is declared incompetent to stand trial, but her male accomplice pleads not guilty by reason of mental defect. His attorney argues that he suffered from PTSD associated with the 9/11 attacks. Lupo recognizes her as the defense attorney who represented a man who killed his family in such a grisly way that it caused Lupo to suffer PTSD and fall asleep on the job as his partner was killed. Lupo doesn't want to testify, but Bernard helps him through it. Cutter blows a huge hole in the attorney's defense (Lupo never killed anyone after suffering from PTSD, and the attorney also lost her case using that defense before) and the dude pleads guilty. It's a very good episode.

See, I’m currently considering either becoming a police officer (homicide specifically) or a firefighter, and the thought of coming across something like this makes me lean towards firefighter I don’t know if I could handle seeing a dead child, the idea of coming across any body is horrible and heart breaking, but a child? That hurts even more Children are so young, so innocent, and most importantly, so vulnerable, we as adults have a responsibility to look out for them, and the thought of a child dying is already heartbreaking, a child being murdered, and in such a brutal way, it’s too much, could drive a person with too weak a mind to suicide
