Katie and Ben opened up about how they got pregnant at 19 and how they learned to prioritize their marriage in order to make it to where they are today. Katie’s parents are salt of the earth people. Smart, and excellent parents. Parenthood is hard at any age. Support is what was needed, and modelling a healthy relationship. I think they did that.

I have to leave this comment before I started watching this video. I have been on the Katie and Ben support train since Ella was 1. I have never fallen in love with a family and a set of two individuals more in my entire life. During Covid was a very hard time for me and one of the things that made me so incredibly happy and gave me excitement and something to look forward to was there KZbin videos. I can’t even describe what it is that the family has done for me, but it has been something absolutely life-changing. I love what they’ve done in the sense of being comfortable, sharing their families life with us, allowing those to watch their children grow, and I get so excited for their wins, their accomplishments, and the things that happened in their life. They’ve been very inspiring to me and I am so incredibly happy that more people get to learn about this amazing couple in family and I’m so excited to listen to this.

My husband and I have been together 26 yrs ( longer than these two have been alive) and married for 21 yrs and I feel like Ben and Katie are YEARS ahead of me! They are the two wisest kids I know! I literally learn from these two! They are amazing as a couple and parents. And Katie’s parents are just as amazing and surely where they got so much from. Ben is THE BEST dad!! His mom was surely wrong. And Jesus shown so brightly thru Katie’s parents and showed his grace thru them and these two are ultimately a product!

Shawn and Andrew thank you for this video, after watching it I did go and watch some of Katie and Ben's videos, I then came back and watched this video again! They display maturity and wisdom way above their ages and I think they put many people "older and supposedly wiser" to shame. Being able to work through the unexpected pregnancy and the wildly divergent advice they were being given was amazing. Katies answer that becoming pregnant in their situation was a blessing bought a broad smile to my face, what a great attitude and vision.

My husband and I met when he was 19 and I was about a month away from turning 19. We got married within three months of being together. Like two days before we would’ve been together for three months we got married. We spent a lot of time together, learning everything that we could possibly know about the other person. it was like we were called to be together as what we both agreed on that it felt like. I can relate when Katie talks about how Ben needed to mature and grow. My husband and I were raised similarly to them like I was raised in a very good positive home, and my husband was raised in a hands-off sort of home. So watching this was like watching my husband and I and it just affirmed to me that we aren’t alone in our struggles as a young couple. I have five kids with my husband and we have been together for 9 years. We don’t always go out and we make a plan to have date night one night a week. Date night is the most important thing. It keeps your relationship alive.

Getting married that young is so common in our church group. ♡ I didnt lol I waited and glad I did, but my friends are happy with 4kids and more some of them! I got married at 27 to someone I'd know since I was 13yrs old. It was a huge adjustment at my age much less at these ages!! God bless you for hanging in there guys!!!♡

I was a nurse for 34 years. I worked various departments including labor and delivery. We had a 13 year old delivered and her parents took him and raised him. They made her sign all parental rights over to them. When she graduated high school, her son was in 1st grade. It blew my mind.
