Great to see younger generations discover the genius of George Carlin. Funny how his humor still applies and resonates today. I was about 17 when I first heard him on the record player. I wish he was with us still. He would have had a field day in 2023. We sure need someone like him now. Keep up the good work Mr. Bailey.

You really should look for the GC album, “Class Clown”. In addition to a lot of great, classic George stuff, the complete version of this “7 words” bit is so much better than this live version! (BTW… I’ve been fortunate enough to not only see George LIVE on three occasions, but even got to go backstage, to briefly meet him, after the first show, back in ‘83!) Keep up checking out the great stuff! 😁

George was one of the last true great wordsmiths of the 20th century. not only could he invent and recall so many different words with Clarity and definition, but he had the intelligence to string them together in such a way as to reveal and satirize his own genius. There's a reason many people refer to George Carlin as "The Modern Prophet."

Please watch George Carlin The Hippy Dippy Weather Man from 1978's 'George Carlin Again' and George Carlin on Carson - Hippy Dippy Weather Man 1966. That last one is in black and white and George has short hair and no beard. Wow! Al Sleet is eternal. Miss him!

Oh, I had forgotten about him! I love all the old comics. They were so clever and imaginative and brave considering the times. They were trying to get a career started at a time that society was really changing which threatens people sometimes. He was smart to keep his routines right on the edge. Even my father who was quite conservative really enjoyed him. Others were just too outspoken, so the message was lost.

That would be hilarious to do a reaction to a portable record player, laugh. I definitely seen certain kinds of older songs where the song itself is just a picture of the album, off on a 45 RPM single, but then I've seen other songs where it's a video of a nice turntable that's been hooked into the audio system and then you can see the guy setting the little down on the record and you can hear the crackling of the vinyl and so forth. I found it interesting because that's what I grew up with, that and the radio. I had around 2000 records and only just sold them during the pandemic. I had about the same number of CDs and sold most of those as well. I kept about 200 and then I kept about 50 record albums.

I 1st heard of George Carlin in 1970 when my father brought home one of his first comedy albums, even though I was a teenager I wasn't allow to be in the living room with my and his friends listening to their favorite comics, which included George Carlin,Red Fox, Richard Pyro , Pigme Martin and so many more. I missed them all.
