Where's the outrage from the community about this? Seriously, why don't the community bring awareness of the assaults happening to young people? Instead theybae protesting for a fare evader and for free fares to subways and buses. Think about that for a second. An assualy like that has been happening in Bronx a few times now, no anger, no protestes, no stepping up to find the attackers from the community. Because the Parents work 40-50 Hours a week, Plus 1-2 Hours Travel each way. Child Care in NYC costs on average 46k a year. The city used to be safe enough to let your kid go out and explore the city, go ride the trains and buses. Now they still have to do that but the entire city is overrun with crime, drugs, and illegal migrants. It's similar to what NYC was during the 70's, the buildings have just been remodeled and they cities aesthetic is more "Modern" but the streets, and the rest of the infrastructure is worse than the 70's. You are already seeing an increase in building fires... most likely for the same reasons from the 70s, insurance money. The parents of NYC can't really even discipline their kids anymore either. So from 3pm - 6pm your kid is using NYC as a playground, before it was a safe playground... now there are needles in the streets and open-air drug markets... Weed in every bodega. Homeless and migrants on every corner... We used to have a police force that enforced the law and protected the kids... But with all of that being said... this particular crime is just unforseeable... the kid was doing a chore of throwing out the trash. Literally expected to be home within minutes... You can't blame the parents for this one man.
