If memory serves me right. Robin in this series is Dick Grayson, so he can't have an "older brother" because he is the first Robin, and if I'm right, his entire biological family is dead

Well, his biggest fan and DNA buddy from the last season Larry's real name is Nosyarg Kcid - literally Dick Grayson backwards - and in the episode where Starfire travels to the future, older Robin is running around as Nightwing. The show never says it outright, and really doesn't for any characters (aside from BB later). But it's all and pretty much literally spelled out that this Robin is Dick Grayson.

Fan favorite theory is that Red X is Jason Todd the 2nd Robin, even though time line wise it doesn't makes sense. Its mainly how Jason is more hot headed, edgier, and somewhat more villainous compared to Dick Grayson.

It honestly fits, the way he talks to Robin, the way he moves and fights, the way he's basically edgier Dick... as for timeline wise, well, we can't say for sure, since we don't know anything about this universe's Batman. It's very possible Bruce got a new sidekick after Robin 'graduated' to leader of the Titans.

About Robin's suit, there is an attachment to it. Robins original suit was the outfit him and his family wore when they were in the circus. Their act was called the Flying Graysons. I'm sure there is an emotional attachment to it.

You don't get it in this series, but cyborgs origin story is that he was a highschool football player in metropolis, where superman is based at, whose father was a scientist working ar STARR labs, he was experimenting on a motherbox, a device from planet apocalypse, ruled by darkseid, a superman villain. In an attack on the lab cyborg was seriously injured, and to save his life, his father bonded the motherbox to cyborgs body, which turned him into what he is now.

I think its more to do with Robin's paranoia rather than his intelligence. The suit was made specifically to subdue the titans, what if a situation ever arose where his friends were being controlled? It's the same thing where batman has a plan on how to take out every member of the justice league in case he had to.

Joker is like in the perfect middle ground where his identity doesn't matter, since he is just The Joker first and foremeost, he doesn't have a dayjob or anything, he's just Joker. But also he has so little defining him that you can put any backstory on him you want, and it won't really matter in the end, since it's just another one on the pile

Red-X is in no way was ever supposed to be Jason Todd because the comic that brought back Jason wasn't even made when this show aired. I don't think the writers ever planned on revealing who X is given there exists now a DC comic with Red-X in it and it keeps this show's canon of Dick being the first Red-X with the identity of the third being revealed. And by third I mean the comic is hyper specific that there are three Red-Xs with the second one still unknown. As for Dick's family, in Schumacher's Batman Forever, there was a Chris Grayson who was either Dick's older brother or cousin but he too died and as far as I recall the Schumacher half of the BMPA never was used as inspiration for this series. Another reason why Jason cannot be Red-X outside of him being canonically younger and that if Dick is Robin then Jason couldn't possibly have been Robin yet, is that this X acts nothing like Jason did in comics prior his Lazarus Pit revival. And I don't mean Jason before he was Red Hood; look it up, Jason Todd acted completely different before the comics revived him. He pretty much acted like Dick Grayson and Carrie Kelley. My favorite theories of fan headcanon for X's identity is Grant Wilson, Slade's son, or Lance Bruner, a Robin that despite being blond was so similar in skill to Dick Grayson that even Batman couldn't tell the difference between them. As for Grant, the theory I read lacks why Grant would ever play hero even for a slight bit of time. As for Lance and unlike original Jason, he actually did act like a criminal even as going as far as setting Batman up for a trap; only when he realized what a Gotham without Batman would be like did he steal Robin's suit or a backup or something and fight alongside Batman. Even taking a bullet for him which killed him; Bruce was certain that it was Dick because Lance was so skilled until Dick showed up. And generally, thanks to Infinite Crisis, Lance and Jason were both kind of written out of continuity.

It's my theory that they originally wanted to use Jason Todd aka Red Hood, but didn't have the rights so they made Red X, because Jason Todd was Robin after Batman fired Dick Grayson, the original. After a year or two, Jason Todd dies at the hands of the Joker, but is brought back to life and comes back as a villain named Red Hood. Red Hood hates Batman, but hates the other Robins even more. He's close in age to Dick but constantly acts like he's older than him because he thinks his edginess makes him more mature.

there's comics that follow this show's continuity and in one of the issue Cyborg explains his origin story: basically, he had a car accident during a race and since his parents were two highly intelligent scientists (one was a expert in biomechanics and advanced robotics, and the other was a leader in nanotechnology and cybernetics field) they saved their son by turning him into who he is now. That being said, the comic Teen Titans Go! (2003) might not be completely canon but it's still interesting to read it. It's the 45th issue of the comic for those who are curious about Cyborg's origin story.

Yeah so Red X doesn’t have a “real identity” the writer who came up with this version of the character said he wanted Red X’s identity to always remain a mystery. The other writers wanted to make this Red X Jason Todd, but the writer said no. In the end he compromised and said they could suggest Red X was Jason Todd or other characters as long as they never confirmed anything

The term you guys are looking for to describe Red X is anti-villain. It's similar in concept to an anti-hero, but rather than a hero who does villainous things like murder, it's a villain who does heroic things like saving lives. They're actually surprisingly uncommon in comics for whatever reason, with the only notable example I can think of off the top of my head being Red Hood/Jason Todd. He's basically a mobster in charge of a good chunk of the Gotham underground, but due to his past as an ex-Robin will occasionally team up with the Bat Family to help take down bigger threats. And also the leading candidate for Red X's identity.

We never find out who Red X is in the show nor is it ever confirmed but it is implied that this new Red X is Jason Todd the second Robin. Aside from their similar fighting style and ability to sync up with relative ease in the main DC universe Jason Todd took up the mantle of the Red Hood. And before Jason Todd became Robin he was a thief and was caught by Batman trying to steal the wheels off the batmobile. Finally Jason Todd formed a short lived team called the Outlaws originally consisting of Red Hood as the leader, Arsenal (Green Arrow's sidekick Speedy), and Starfire. During this time Red Hood and Starfire had a bit of a thing but ultimately remained platonic aside from a few hugs and kisses. Oh and I believe Dick is actually slightly older than Jason by like a year or two though I could be wrong but I think the reason Red X/Jason Todd calls Robin/Dick Grayson kid is because Dick is a bit naive and optimistic like Batman he doesn't kill and fights to subdue while Jason Todd has no issues using lethal force to take down his foes and fights far more aggressively.

According to the justice league comic, Vic, a.k.a. cyborg had an accident from an a explosion at his father’s laboratory and his dad recovered him, in the movie same thing, but the Mother Box brought him back and gave him a robotic body. But in the teen titans go comic the original, his origin was different, he was an athlete, which is true, but due to a excitement by driving a fast sportscar he crashed into a explosive gas truck, his body was damaged & almost died, but his mother and father repaired and recovered him, unfortunately, due to a cyborg strength, they decide to let him go

Logically, Robin should've upgraded his suit if he is skilled enough to make something like the Red X suit. But I think shame kept him from doing it. It's clear that he regrets his stint as Red X a lot, and he probably wanted to bury it. Plus, all of the suits abilities us Xenthonium as a base, and since it's so dangerous and difficult to get, he likely just straight up couldn't apply those upgrades to his suit without having a constant supply of it.
