The Volca sample was on my list of samplers. I had a few on my mind, I splurged on the OP-1 because I figured I get a solid sampler with tons on nice bonuses.

Yeah, but the Volca sampler is much more of a pain to quickly sample and use.

Sorry for late reply. I think once you cut them down to later sounds. No, honestly I sold it and just watched this video again today. This really is a magical device

Yes. OP-1 does chromatic and even auto slices along the keys if you sample it into the drum section rather than synth. You can adjust the cuts if you wish.
