A lot of old school hip hop stations actually do play it, along with songs from other conscious 90s artists like the Tribe and Pharcyde etc. Leads me to believe the song actually was fairly big at the time it came out, but you have to keep in mind that De La Soul isn’t very mainstream so they didn’t have a lot of “ big “ songs.

Thats also how I got more into all of the 90s and 80s stuff that came either before my time or was big when I was too young to be aware of it. You would be surprised how much love the older stuff gets on streaming platforms and satellite radio.

I think my favorite thing about this track is that Teenage Fanclub just lets De La do their thing, but the backing instrumantal and "Do do do do's" are undeniably fitting. It is a perfect collab. Which is saying something when De La Soul have worked with someone as meticulous and talented as Damon Albarn. I love those Gorillaz tracks, but I felt actual friendship flowing through this song. Don't know if they were in the studio together, but it feels like it.

It feels like a standard De La Soul track which is pretty impressive considering all artists involved were pretty much told to make this with artists they'd never worked with before in a completely different genre than they're used to. But Teenage Fanclub provide De La the perfect lyrical backdrop and De La complement the beat gracefully

In the film, there is a tragic moment where one of the four men being hunted by a ruthless gangster is pushed off the edge of a building and falls to his death... and I cannot be the only person on this planet that thinks it was absolutely a missed opportunity in the fact that this song didn't play when/after it happened

After watching Judgement Night I loved this song and never knew the song title to look it up on the ending credits and it's been stuck in my head since 93. I was playin some xb and drinking a beer and listening to Alexa under De La Soul and it came on! Now I play the fk out of it! That guitar is on point and the beat is rugged but hip hop.
