Saw them 3 times in France during the 90's. Met Norman before The concert; he was looking for a phone card to phone to U.K. I gave him mine and 5 minutes later he gave me a TFC tee-shirt. I really love this group after so many times . It 's a part of my life.

Awww, that's such a lovely story and thanks for sharing. Norman is a great guy as are all the band... it reflects in their music. Treasure the tee-shirt as it's from one of the best bands ever.

Greatest band in the world. My only criticism is they should make a record far more often than every 5/6 years!
@joshfourteen84748 жыл бұрын
I guess you mean it would be great if they 'could'. If it takes 5 or 6 years to create what they create I for one am happy they take the time. Plus, and I am a little older than they are - you more wee breaks at their age. :)

Así surgen como por arte de magia temas arrebatadores como "I'm in love", "Thin air", "The first sight" o "The darkest part of the night". Su décimo disco colma todas las expectativas, aunque no añada nuevo a su sonido. Posiblemente no hace falta. Música independiente novedades.

I'm not sure what it is, I watch this video every now and again and it makes me feel really sad, although it's a good tune. It just really grabs me and does something to me that I'm not sure I'm comfortable with. Weird to see all the longhairs from the covers of Nineties NMEs looking like comfortable aging dads. Perhaps it's that: aging, not bothering about being cool anymore, satisfaction and then the suggestion of the possibility of death.
@damnyou014 жыл бұрын

The truth of Teenage Fanclub, as I see it, is that they scaled a mighty Himalayan peak with Bandwagonesque (K2 perhaps), after mucking around in the foothills with their first two albums. They came down from that rarefied atmosphere with the understated (but still excellent) Thirteen, only to make the successful ascent of Everest, with their, in my opinion, bona fide masterpiece, Grand Prix (one of the greatest power pop albums of all time). Songs … and Howdy maintained the elevated standards, if not quite reaching Grand Prix’s heights. After, that, like a renegade, Snow White, they drifted. Man-Made and Shadows had sublime glimpses of the old melodic magic but seemed patchy. Here, alas, again represented a decline. The new one? Jury’s out. Definite slow-burner, though. Thing is, with Grand Prix in particular, we were spoiled. I must’ve listened to that album, say, 500 times and to this day it’s as fresh and meaningful as the first listen. Not many albums do that for me.
