I went out as a Ninja Turtles for Halloween in 1992. Jim Henson was a genius of the same caliber of Walt Disney. Both of them gave the generations of kids so much joy. What adventures they must had. Just to go to work everyday and have it feel like fun. Not to say hard work isn't a huge part of their job. But seems to me that they truly loved it all.

Also, RIP to Sasha & David Pressman (the parents of the director who portrays April's News Manager - who appeared as the "elderly cab couple" while Tokka & Rahzar knocked down the city)!

Fun Facts: -Shredders new henchmutants were originally supposed to be Bebop and Rocksteady. There was no legal clearance to use the characters in the movie, so Tokka and Rahzar were created. -The movie was supposed to end on a cliffhanger. Professor Jordan Perry was supposed to be an Utrom in a robot suit. This plot twist was eliminated to avoid confusion amog fans that could mistake the utrom with Kraang who had become a quite popular character by then. They also changed the name of the company that manufactured the mutagen was supposed to be known as Techno *Cosmic* Research Institute and it was a secret alien base for the utroms. There was something special about the ooze like Donatello mentioned. They were created by aliens

I love that running gag of Donnie being unable to come up with a superlative that tops the ones from Raph, Leo and Mikey. I also really love the part where the Turtles play pizza football. 😂🤣

The first movie closely followed the original comic (their first appearance), after the movie parents were upset that it was too violent and thats why they made this more tame like the cartoon so No weapons. The comic was pretty brutal and bloody

Ernie Reyes Jr. Reyes made his film debut at age 13 in the 1985 film The Last Dragon. The same year he shared the screen with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Brigitte Nielsen in Red Sonja. During this time, he also had his own television series, Sidekicks, a spin-off of the original Walt Disney one-time special The Last Electric Knight, alongside Gil Gerard, presented by Michael Eisner. He also appeared in an episode of the hit television series MacGyver in 1988. Reyes had starring roles in Surf Ninjas, the second Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, The Secret of the Ooze, as Keno, the pizza delivery boy. He also served as the martial arts stunt double for Donatello in the first Ninja Turtles film.[He later appeared in films such as Rush Hour 2, playing Zing, and in The Rundown alongside WWE wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Reyes guest starred in three episodes of Kung Fu: The Legend Continues alongside David Carradine.

Originally the Shredder was supposed to be dead, but because parents were complaining about the first movie being “too violent” they brought him back, and that’s why they don’t use their weapons anymore, and it’s why they don’t look as realistic in the sequels. The 3rd movie’s costumes were made by a different company as well, so the costumes looks dropped a lot more in it.

James Maury Henson or Jim Henson (September 24, 1936 - May 16, 1990) was an American puppeteer, animator, cartoonist, actor, inventor, and filmmaker who achieved worldwide notice as the creator of The Muppets and Fraggle Rock (1983-1987) and director of The Dark Crystal (1982) and Labyrinth (1986). He was born in Greenville, Mississippi, and raised in Leland, Mississippi, and University Park, Maryland.

This movie could have ended in a cliffhanger and the ending would have turned out to be that the professor was actually a brain alien in disguise. In the comics his race were responsible for the mutagen canister/the ooze and they where trying to fix the mistake they made, which the professor was doing in the movie. The 3rd movie could have been about the Turtles meeting these brain aliens while also facing a new enemy which is a Triceretops alien race (again, from the comics). But they scrapped that idea because they thought kids would confuse this brain alien character for Krang, and I guess it would also have cost more money to actually made those Triceretops costumes. I still would have prefered that movie than the actual 3rd movie we got! The reason why Judith Hoag, who was April in the 1st movie, didn't return was because she didn't like the change of tone in the sequel and she was unhappy with how the stunt doubles were mistreated and how unfair their schedule changes where.

Vanilla Ice made a banger track for this movie. Ninja Rap is such a banger, that the professor started dancing in the crowd. And I love the fight against The Foot after Leo, Raph, Donnie and Mikey unmutated Tokka and Rahzar, and that does include the 4-on-1 shell assault on Tatsu.

The actor who played Tatsu in the first two Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies sounded extremely different! I can’t really how to explain it, but Tatsu sounded much rougher in the second movie than he did in the first one.

UNDERRATED CLASSIC Just Like The Original
@nsasupporter75572 жыл бұрын
What you and the rest of the KZbinrs who are obsessed with the word “underrated” need to do is start a cult where you can worship that word all you want! But STOP saying it on KZbin! It’s already lost it’s meaning because you and everybody else on KZbin overuse it and misuse it so much! We don’t even know what actually is “underrated” anymore because of all of you. STOP SAYING UNDERRATED! The original movie was Not underrated in anyway, shape or form! It was a massive success when it came out and has aged extremely well. This movie was ass compared to the original

@@nsasupporter7557 Btw WTF is your point?
@nsasupporter75572 жыл бұрын
@@dredre_lj2003 my point is the word “underrated” is OVERUSED and it’s annoying as f*ck! Especially when it’s misused like you just did. The first TMNT movie trilogy IS NOT UNDERRATED. The first movie from 1990 was an instant mega hit especially for being made on a low budget and being considered an independent film And it’s still cherished today. This movie (the sequel) was still a hit even though it was a major step down from the first movie and the third movie was a disappointment for the most part but is still beloved more than anymore recent TMNT movie. So COOL IT on saying “underrated!” All of you people on KZbin need to stop saying it so much it’s beyond irritating and annoying!
