I have the official art book for this movie and it really shows how big of an anime fan/nerd Donnie is. He has a gojo sticker on his weapon along with some others. You can see a glimpse of it around 19:36 . I think the creators did such a good job adding more quirks and interests to the characters :D

There is a female turtle in IDW comics, which I think IDW also does the Sonic comics now? She has a yellow bandana and was a human in the foot clan before being mutated. Theres also other mutants around which seems to be the overall theme of TMNT now in all media

don't be afraid to state your mind brother 🙏🏽, and yea the way they learned ninjutsu didn't make sense it was overshadowed by the fact the movie is just so fun so we ignore it which is Okay I guess this version of splinter isn't all too good but he's very sweet

The way they learn ninjutsu in any iteration that wasn't 2012 and 2018 is whack. 2012 Splinter was already a master and so was 2018 since they were both humans before hand. The iteration where splinter is already a rat shows he copied what he saw and read from a book

Grew up with both 2003 and 2012 tmnt series amazing shows, 80s is a classic too, never was a fan and still hate the 2018 tmnt show and movie, as for the other movies the og trilogy especially the first 2 are Great and 2007 tmnt, mutant mayhem 2023 I thought would be a flop but after givin it a shot I can say this movies Amazing, they did be a bit extra with the whole "I just wanna fit in" message but it's tolerable since they're mutants, the ending was wholesome as well and damn leo the simp now 😂, although the way they learned ninjutsu didn't make sense otherwise great movie
