This is a cover of a Beatles song from Abbey Road. She first heard it in Jennifer Hudson's version from the movie "Sing". You can tell Hudson's version inspired Kaylee and she took it to new heights. I can't stop watching this. Kaylee definitely has a future as a singer, no doubt.

I don't know about that. This season to me has been one of the worst in awhile. Nothing against any of the singers. It just hasn't been nearly as good as prior seasons. No clear powerhouses like in past. Like I could tell right from day one with people like Cam Anthony ( knew he'd win after first half of performance lol) , Bryce leatherwood, Todd and his season was loaded with good singers etc. this season just not as good to me. Pretty evident vocally

She’s amazing especially for someone so young, and I think she’s arguably better than some of the show’s previous teen winners (Danielle, Brynn, Chevel, Gina, etc.) Another possible contender this season is Mara Justine. She’s definitely a powerhouse. I don’t think her audition shows off what she can really do though, so check out her American idol performances if you haven’t already. Anyway this season has just started and there are still many auditions coming in so maybe you’ll find someone you wanna root for soon.

Golden Slumbers is one of my favorite songs by the Beatles form their Abbey Road album. Kaylee took that song and made it her own. Her voice has so much character. Like Gwen said, that slow vibrato is so different from girls her age, along with her range, especially her lower register voice is golden! Best audition so far this season!

I have watched this over a hundred times. And each time I replay it it gets better and I can appreciate the drama she created with the song. The setup, escalation and resolution parts were all displayed magically with all the nuances delicately placed in each part of the song. Above all it is her charisma that moved me.
