It’s amazing to see a daughter actually press charges on a family member for domestic abuse. I’ve never been able to do that to my mom and older brother. I regret never calling the cops on my brother when he started a full on fight with me. I was 15 and he was 20 years old already. I should have done it then 😕 Edit: I wouldn’t call the cops on my mom because she is no longer abusive to me.

She had MTV and their money to fall back on. Not saying she shouldn't have, I hate Farrah but her parents are also weird people so, hey ho. But, an awful lot of underage or young people would love to press charges against or file complaints against their abusers, but have no resources or anywhere else to live. I had no money when my parents were on drugs, and also had to worry about my little sister possibly being apart from me and I couldn't have that. Everything worked out, eventually, but it leaves a lasting impression to be in an unsafe environment with no way out or at least feeling like you have no way out.

He started raging after I asked him to clean up after himself ( we actually haven’t spoken in a long time and I am completely fine with that) I just don’t want to clean up after someone I don’t even consider human anymore. And my brother decided to take my phone from my hand which I got on video because I wanted evidence against him since I knew he would lie about what happened. And of course my mom took my phone from me as well because she always has to enable him. So yeah. Abusers usually will team up on one person. I wouldn’t call the cops on my mom because she doesn’t abuse me anymore. But my brother has been an abusive person to me my whole life. And after all that my mom said that it was my fault I made him mad 🤦🏻‍♀️

My own son blows through my attempts and breathing techniques to a ridiculous point, at times, to the point that it feels like nothing I do matters. A minute to breathe always helps.
