Have you ever thought of putting a “‘mother’s confessions” box on your Instagram, keeping it anonymous and doing that’s as a wee segment of your vlogs or videos! I think that would be so funny and relatable for other mums! Xx

Are you infant and child CPR certified? That may help you with your anxiety in regards to Jackson choking. You are definitely doing the right thing by making sure they play with age appropriate toys, and keeping choking hazards away from him. It’s very good you’re watching him while he eats( especially new foods to make sure they’re no allergic reactions). Your children are so sweet and adorable! How blessed you are.😊💖

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to you Kayla! I decided after your second sleep training update with Jackson that I wanted to do this with my daughter too (same age) and DAY ONE she let me put her IN HER CRIB (she’s used to our bed too) and she’s slept about 10 hours every night since! I never had to go in and comfort her. She wakes herself sometimes but she puts herself back to bed. This mama is HAPPY! And rested! And you gave me the strength to do it and I’m so thankful for you! ❤️

I appreciate your thoughts on MLMs! I have a few friends that have fallen down that rabbit hole hard, and one of them (who I no longer speak to), actually turned my fertility issues 'against' me to try to get me to buy into it because they have a fertility blend and all of that... I mean, I'm all for making things smell nice, but I don't think that a blend of citrus and peppermint (or whatever it is) is going to suddenly make me fertile, when my doctors have made a whole treatment plan. Not to mention, some of them can be super dangerous for pregnant women, young children, and pets, which is a risk I'm not willing to take right now.

Kayla, I've been a lurker of your channel for a while now. No kids, but I just genuinely enjoy watching your and your family do everyday things. I love how dedicated you are to filming and giving us all something to enjoy most days. Seriously, I appreciate the work it takes. So thank you for that! But, I wanted to thank you for educating on MLMs. Just like you educate us on educational toys and your budget, etc, it's great that you've used your platform for something so helpful and informative. MLMs are just not good unless you're at the top. I've seen countless friends go under with so many of them. A friend lost THOUSANDS on LulaRoe, another has never had success with Tastefully Simple, Lia Sophia, or Beachbody, and another ended up with so much excess MaryKay, it's laughable.

I 100% agree with what you're saying about MLMs. It's hard for me because it drives me crazy to get a million dms from these people even after you have told them no, I don't like that fact that the "coaches" profit off of their teams sales that they're working so hard to sell, but I also understand that it's usually a momma trying to support her family in whatever way she can. I'm not going to lie, i've considered it simply because I wanted to try to earn money from home so I could stay home with my little one. It's such a tough topic.

Thank you so much for talking about and being so transparent about MLM, I wish I would have seen this video of yours before I joined WFG (World Financial Group, they claim themselves as financial advisor and are helping people to plan for their future and retirement, but what they really are are insurance MLM). I was always an advance student from all the way back when I was in elementary school, then was a civil engineering student in university and worked as an engineer until I got married and became a stay-at-home housewife. What I was trying to explain is that I didn't know about MLM, because in my entire life, all that I encounter are some legit knowledges and occupation so I was naïve and trusting and didn't know that there is this whole world on the other end of the spectrum that i am familiar with. Just like you, six months later I pulled myself out, and you are so right about EVERY experiences with MLM, they are definitely not a positive ones

Thanks for your open discussion of your opinions. The way you present topics is fun, entertaining and common sense. Awhile ago I did direct sales and became very uncomfortable, not with the product but the sales aspect. I totally understand. What I took away from it was that I became more sociable and definitely that sales were not for me. Oh, on the teething and breastfeeding, when I let out a scream that somehow stopped my little guy. Luckily it happened only once. Thank goodness! You and your family are all very sweet, thanks for inviting us into your home and life 😊

I used to be part of a MLM too, and all I can say is NEVER AGAIN! Just like you I don’t like to bother people and when when I would go to the meetings and be forced to call 5-10 contacts, my friends sat me down and calmly explained that it was becoming a nuisance to answer my calls because I would have to try and sell something I stopped.

Totally agree about the MLMs! I received so many more DMs when I was newly postpartum from people trying to sell me things. It’s sad that they target new moms to try to buy things to get in shape, make your postpartum hair grow back, relieve stress, etc... when they are in such a vulnerable place.

Yes! Thank you for talking so openly about MLM, especially Young Living, I’ve seen other KZbinrs pushing those oils and like you said they have a large following so they have no problem making a large profit, and especially hate it when they make it look like oh it’s so easy to make money from selling oils. I know personally I wouldn’t be able to sell to many people. Thank you, I appreciate you for that. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I

I've actually done something similar with my baby, he's only 3 months but he tends to take 25-15 minutes naps. To make him sleep more I'd keep him awake until he's a bit upset and then put him to sleep. He tends to sleep for 1 hour at least. The other thing I do is give him a pacifier and rub his forehead , helps him relax .
@ashleynicole2546
@ashleynicole2546 4 жыл бұрын
I have tried doing longer wake times with my dude, and he still doesn’t seem to take longer naps when he is more tired. I have found that longer naps come at certain times of the day versus wake time. Our longer naps is typically the first nap and the shortest is the last nap. I can usually get 1-1.5 hours in the morning, but then the second and third naps are the 30-40 minutes usually. Mine is almost 8 months and still isn’t ready to drop that last nap. He just gets too tired, but is also super active!

Enjoyed your video! Just a quick momma tip to help with natural sharing, let your daughter play with any toy even if it is Jackson’s unless Jackson is playing with that toy right at that moment. Then you can say, “ Jackson is not finished playing with this toy.” Using words such as she stole this from Jackson gives a bad feeling when she is trying to play with toys.

I remember when I first married and tried selling Avon. Almost 30 years ago. This is before social media and it was just a nightmare. Avon called me twice a day everyday. It was so stressful

Yup! I posted a video of my son in my sleeping in my fb, also they heard the white noise in the background then suddenly I receive a bunch of people asking me to join or buy young living. I'm not against it..it's just not my thing. And I will buy whatever if it's good price but same purpose. 😁

I am glad you are honest and your videos are real ! I can get get annoyed with all the sellers on Facebook. I haven't worked since March 20th. Going through medical issues . I am getting messages every day from people who don't normally talk to me ! Buy jewlery, lipstick , tote bags , kitchen products, fingernails, and this product will fix all your health problems! Yeah , no ! Also I think Bath and Body still sells scent diffusers . My sister in law buys them . I can't have anything scented . Good luck on all this stuff happening right now . I have anxiety , panic , and depression , on top of physical ailments . I talk to someone about it every 2 weeks now . It helps but I can't complete all the assignments she gives me because it stresses me out ha . Every one thing I can accomplish is a win .

Man, my son is almost a year old and he is ready for his first nap only 2 hours after waking up! 😮 Later in the day he goes 3 and then 4 hours but if I tried to get him to go 3 hours in the morning he would be a total monster!

Thank God Jackson has gotten the nighttime sleep routine pretty much down pat. And it has to be a relief to his gums when another tooth arrives, so the pain subsides however briefly. You could try with Riley pointing out to her that Jackson will not keep her things because they are beyond his ability to deal with them at his tender age. This is sort of the reverse of her not needing his new toy you got him because it is way too young for her and suits his abilities. But note that it is not such a bad thing that she is giving Jackson one of his toys to distract him from hers. We distract children all the time with something else when they get involved with things we don't want them handling. That's not the worst lesson for her to be learning and using with him. They will in some ways never play together in the same way they do with kids their own ages. But it is nice when they do for a period of time. He is too young to be able to really play with her anyway and not merely around her. He has not learned that concept of playing a game or imagining a scenario in the castle she just built. She will always be the big sister who knows things he doesn't and can do things he can't, so he will look up to her in that sense, unless she is unkind to him. Babies learn not to bite when their mamas yell OUCH the first time they do it and pull them away from the breast. He would be unusual if he did not learn that quickly and stop biting your nipple. Lots of people keep a Pack'n'Play near the laundry or some such to use like an old-fashioned playpen used to be so that the baby is near them, but cannot get away and into trouble. These are not new crapola, junk toys that do nothing but spoil kids and create clutter. LovEvery has proper learning toys that they return to again and again until they've mastered them and been as creative as they are capable of being with them. They will not lose interest quickly in these. Analog clocks are so much better for teaching wee ones than digital ones could ever be. Well, well: you are just worried about a mess? I am not a particularly crafty mother because I am not good at it. LOL. It is pathetic, but I could probably not cut out paperdolls that looked like same if I had to. I am good at other things, but not that type of craft. Riley might be able to teach me! Cute outfit on Jackson after his nap. He was not crying when you went in. Did he have any toys/teethers in his crib to help him self-soothe back to sleep? Baby sign language will help him communicate with you if he wants water, etc. Rusks are good when they're teething. (By the way, the firm you mentioned sounds like Amway Products, which is precariously close to a Ponzi Scheme, which is illegal. Not to mention, a lot of these things get to be like a cult that you join and are controlled by. I'm with you about not pressuring other people to buy and/or sell.) NOW WE KNOW what the real deal is about the Missing Link/Abominable Snowman/Yeti: he is alive and well and making drinking vessels for humans! I have a question about the other day's video. You talked about the phrase/reality of a "default parent." Is there a default homeowner or yard maintainer or negotiator with workmen like exterminators in your household? There may be areas where women tend to pick up the slack a bit more, but my experience has been that there are those arenas of life wherein the male head of household tends to handle what do to about vermin visitations or whom to see about the entertainment system that has gone berserk or the car is having multiple malfunctions that may not be worth fixing or should have been found when last inspected. If a man sits and allows the woman to jump up to soothe a child without stopping her to tend to the child himself, I know of lots of women who allow men to "jump to" handling all sorts of crises around the homestead that relate to things, rather than people. I think often it's even the womenfolk who handle Mothers' Day, Fathers' Day, Grandparents' Day, etc. And it is often because they have a "vision" of how these things should be done and would not be satisfied with however the man handled it. Further, I know lots of women who neglect to discover how things are done in their man's birth family, so do not really please them with holidays and gifts and acknowledgements because too little or too much has been done, as compared with what they are used to or how they set up expenditures and focus on holidays and birthdays and such within their family. I am not saying you do this. Just asking if you do not think there is a definite counterpart going in the other direction, as well, in many homes?
