Been there and to the San Pedro Sula airport on Two Mission Trips with my church.We built a Church on one trip and an Orphanage on the other.Also went to another Orphanage in the Coty of Angels in the mountains where the temperature was only in the 70’s and it felt Awesome after all of the Heat and Humidity below.👍👏

Landed there 4 times in the late 90's and early 2000's. Very exciting as a kid/young teenager. I loved it. Once the pilot skimmed the tops off some trees and we were all like, whatever. Happens all the time. When we finally landed people started clapping. :-) Fun times.

No se si hay varias rutas aéreas para acercarse a este aeropuerto pero según recuerdo habiendo aterrizado ahí una vez en los anos 90, era mas complicado. Cuando el capitán anunció el inminente aterrizaje aun estábamos demasiado arriba según yo para que el aterriza sea inminente. Mandó a los tripulantes a tomar asiento, y de repente el avión parecía zambullir por en medio de una quebrada descendiendo a una tasa impresionante. Terminamos aterrizando bien. Respecto para los pilotos!

No se como se dice en español pero en ingles se llama "speed brake". La traduccion directa es freno de velocidad, y pues es para ayudar al avion frenar en el aterrizaje

+VNS It looks fast from the way the video is shot, but the speeds probably aren't much different from any other normal landing. They might actually be a bit slower and using more flaps so they can stop in a shorter distance.
