I didn't know this community version of the BFD video existed until Scott Manley linked it at the end of his video. I managed to hold on until the last shot, when I realized it was the closing shot from Nassault's "Most Astouding Fact", the video I think of when I think of this game and what it means to me. I just fucking lost it. I mean, I was wrong, it's a different Nassault shot, but I still lost it.

I relate to what you’re saying so much. I loved general aviation growing up. I had at least 4 or more flight simulators, and did everything I could with them to go to space; that almost never worked though lmfao. I even had my parents buy a couple random space flight simulator games for me. None of those could ever beat KSP and the impact it had on a 26-year-old me. I rediscovered myself and what I loved and held dear since I was a kid through Kerbal Space Program

I first began playing KSP when I decided to pick it up during the summer sale in 2013, and it truly was the beginning of a personal odyssey. At the beginning, It taught me about the mechanics of space exploration, such as orbital mechanics and the like. Things that, despite being fascinated with space since childhood, I had never really considered. I remember my early days of college when I finally performed that first Duna landing. I remember when I was sending land/rover probes to all the planets for the first time. I remember having the idea to make some dumb music videos with gameplay footage, those of which actually built a minor KZbin following. And I remember how through my videos I met someone I love, and for whatever strange reason, she actually loves me back. I hope to spend the rest of my life with her. And here I am at this exact moment, still playing KSP and making a making a new video. It's been quite the 5 year journey, and I hope it never ends. Amazing video, by the way! It's what made me feel so sentimental. Fly safe, everyone.

I've been a big part of the KSP community since it came out (I was in 11th grade). But I had never seen this. After 5000 hours cumulative in the game, and several books and classes later, KSP2 got announced, and it turns out this video and the original were the inspirations behind the reveal trailer. I loved the reveal. But I LOVED this. When the climax ended and the plastering of headlines started hitting and I saw the ones about guys getting into university and getting aerospace jobs because of this game... I choked up and cried. KSP is beautiful. This video is beautiful. Thank you for it.

Kerbal Space Program, the game where it truly shows that not most games are only meant for entertainment, but for inspiration, a test to show what it takes, where it's experience can be placed into real life. The best part? Some even turned some people into engineers, scientists or basically every ambitions they ever dream of, all thanks to the game (like KSP) that changed their life. If they can become successful people, you can too.
