Thank you Grant. So much insight packed in this teaching. I have been reading in Daniel recently of how he advised the king Nebuchadnezzar after the king dreamed of a great tree being cut down. Interesting how this story in Daniel highlights Psalm 1. Daniel 4:27 “Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you: break off your sins by practicing righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the oppressed, that there may perhaps be a lengthening of your prosperity.” Key learning how to be that tree planted by the streams of living water… must practice righteousness and show mercy. If not it is cut down. Makes me think of Yeshua saying in Matthew 9:13 “ Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” I think Yeshua was quoting Hosea 6:6 Printing the notes from TTM and watching again!! Blessings

Hello Grant. Which Bible version do you read with such Hebrew insight ?
@grantluton
@grantluton Ай бұрын
That is a frequent question! I work directly from the original Hebrew, but use the ESV as a basic text and tweak it as I go. In the N.T. Scriptures, I start with the ESV, but also rely on The Concordant Literal New Testament, and Bible software programs to help with the Greek (Accordance and Bibleworks). But for additional Hebrew insights, there is no substitute for reading the works of the great Sages of Israel. I am just so thankful to live in a day when most of their works are available in English!
