Heres something you may find interesting. :) The name of my country has nothing to do with the interesting and delicious bird ''turkey''...... .....but the name of the bird does have a connection with the name of my country, let me explain. :) Name of my country has always been Türkiye, it's been known as such since around the 1200's. The name it self has a suffix, '' -iye '', that is Turk-iye, where the -iye suffix means 'land of/belonging to', just like the Latin suffix of '' -ia '', which exists in such country names like Austr-ia, Austral-ia, Latv-ia, Roman-ia etc etc again meaning 'land of/belonging to'. Many would remember the country Czechoslovak-ia which changed it's name to Czech Republic and a few years ago changed that to Czechia (that is Czech-ia). The Latin suffix -ia probably originates from Turkish -iye as Turkish is much older, ancient Turkish been over ten thousand years old. Spelled in different languages in different ways to phonetically resemble '' Türkiye '' we got various spellings like; Turquía (in Spanish), Turchia (in Italian), Turquie (in French) and Turkey (in English) all trying to resemble the pronounciation of ''Turk-ia'' thus Turkiye. Mind you this was way before the animal we currently know as 'turkey'' was found by the europeans when they explored the north americas. The bird was first sent to europe from north americas in the year 1519, so up until that point there was no bird named 'turkey'.... ...they came across the bird and thought it was a specie of the fowl/chicken they had been buying from the country of Turkiye at the time, so they named the bird ''Turkey Fowl'' meaning ''Turkish Chicken''..... ....just like how a dog breed is known as German Shepherd (because it's from Germany), American Bulldog, British Terrier, Greek Harehound etc etc. In time you don't get to call the Greek Harehound as simply as ''Greek''; or you don't call the British Terrier as ''British''; or the German Shepherd as ''German'', but in time the Turkish Fowl started to be called just ''Turkey'' and later ''turkey'', and has been going on for hundreds of years. Now in modern times, this is causing confusion, especially when we have people across the world unable to point to their own country on the map, this ''confusion over the naming'' needed to be corrected. So my country decided to rectify this confusion that has been going on for so long and corrected the name to Türkiye, which it always was. Basically we didn't change the name of our country, we changed the mistake made in the English language. : ) So, there's some tid bit information for you to have a great day, if you read upto this point you have a great night too, ohh just have a wonderfull life. : ) Best wishes. ;)

İstanbul metro is the first in the continental Europe and one of the largest in Europe and in the world. It was established in 1875 in Ottoman Empire. London is the first in all Europe. You can have a train ride from İstanbul to Paris and then to London. An amazing ride with mind blowing vistas indeed. Many cities of Türkiye have also extensive metro systems. Turkey is a secular country. This country produces its own high speed trains. Turkey has technology based economy with so many products in all areas. Turkey does not have oil or gas reserve based economy, like Iran. Tehran has a lovely metro system though.❤

Been to Istanbul 8 months ago and while I found the overcrowded trams intimidating... the metro was absolutely awesome! Clean stations, trains not generally crowded and able to take you over long distances in a short time. It's perfect to visit the north side of the Bosphorus. It's a great achievement and I hope they continue to extend the lines.

Once seeing this video, I understood that Subway environment around the world is all the same !! . In Korea, Seoul metros have the same environment like that of Tehran and Turkiye . the only difference is we got a automatic glass doors on every platform of the subway station. it prevents people falling in the track and dusts coming in with a train arrival .

This is really great and helpful too. I have travelled on the Tehran Metro many times on visiting and two important points; it is as you say very clean - particularly when compared to those in Europe and N. America. Secondly is the point of price that by making it so affordable and comfortable for all it encourages people not to use their cars and travel by the metro. I can remember (I am that old!) when Tehran had a serious problem with vehicle pollution - such that on some days you could not use your car if it had certain registration- it as all major cities still has some pollution problems but this is one way to deal with them. Happy New year from us and hope to be with you by your Nowrouz.

When some years ago I used the Tehran metro I found it really clean,comfortable,tidy,safe and incredibly cheap. The directions are very clear and the stops reach all the places where I was interested in going and Iranians are super friendly 😃. Hugs from Italy

عالی ، من مترو استانبول را پیشرفته تر میبینم... البته جفتی بسیار بسیار ارزان بودند بخصوص ایران. لندن دارای قدیمی‌ترین متروی جهان و با وجود خط الیزابت واقعا پیشرفته است از لحاظ کانکشن و تعداد ایستگاه...ولی متأسفانه بسیار بسیار گران روزی ۱۲ پوند که با پوند ۶۵ تومان امروز رقمی بسیار زیاد محسوب میشود حتی به هزینه اینور.

نمی دونم این کامنت رو بخونید یا نه،ولی با عرض پوزش باید بگم که مقایسه تون ناعادلانه بود.اول از همه مقایسه ،،،قیمت بلیط،،، با در نظر گرفتن میزان درآمد در این دو شهر متوجه خواهید شد که قیمت بلیط یا مساوی هست یا هنوز هم در استانبول ارزانتر هست. دوم اینکه شما به لحاظ پاکیزگی و زیبایی ایستگاه تاکسیم رو که از قدیمی ترینر ایستگاههای استانبول هست با ایستگاه‌هایی از بالای شهر و جدیدتر تهران مقایسه کردید. کاش این مقایسه رو با مثلا ایستگاه لاله‌زار انجام می دادید. و در مورد فرهنگ روی پله برقی که در استانبول همیشه ایستاده ها سمت راست می ایستد و سمت چپ رو برای کسانی که عجله دارند خالی می گذارند ولی در پله برقی های مترو تهران مسافرها تمام عرض پله رو اشغال می کنند چیزی نگفتید، که البته این هم مثل مقایسه تمیزی، یک مقایسه فرهنگی ست که در درجه اول وظیفه شهرداری ست که مرتب با دست نوشته و صوتی یاد آوری کند مثل استانبول و هم وظیفه مردم که رعایت کنند. که قطعا مردم ایران خیلی سریع اینطور مسائل رو متوجه و رعایت می کنند. سوم هم اینکه در رابطه با تسهیل طی مسیر برای مسافر هادر استانبول که ریل پیاده رو برای کسانی که یا باری رو حمل می کنند و یا مثلا پا درد دارند به وفور وجود دارد ولی من اصلا در این فیلمی که شما گذاشتید ندیدم هم کاش مقایسه ای کرده بودید. ولی با همه این تفصیل بسیار سپاسگزارم از اینکه باعث شدید چند دقیقه‌ای خاطرات استانبول گردی😊 برای من زنده شود

سلام دوست عزیز، ما ایستگاه تئاتر شهر که در مرکز و جز شلوغ ترین هاست رو انتخاب کردیم که بالاشهر نیست، از نظر آسانسور، متروی تهران هم آسانسور داره، از هر دو مترو میشه به تقریبا بیشتر شهر دسترسی داشت، در هر صورت ممنون از اینکه وقت گذاشتید و نشون دادید، ما قصد مقایسه تخصصی رو نداشتیم، این نوع مقایسه ها برای مردم در هر جایی جذاب هست

То, что в метро Ирана есть отдельные вагоны для женщин, это очень хорошо. Если в остальных частях Религии они тоже следовали бы правильно, (особенно в вопросах вероубеждения) - то им цены не было бы.

In Turkish metro, you can walk through the escalator, because people stand one side. In Tehran metro it is more chaotic, people stand on both sides. I prefer Turkey to Iran. Turkey is much more beautiful and culturally diverse than Iran.

The metro length in Istanbul is 2 times bigger than Tehran. The rail systems in Türkiye are bigger than Iran. Türkiye's economy is 4 times bigger than Iran's. Türkiye's exports are five times more than Iran's. Türkiye is bigger than Iran in every sense of political, economic, cultural, sporting and military. Do not ignore these facts when making comparisons 😂
