Tejas Hydraulic Sidewalk Freight Elevator at Mechanical Engineering Center, UT Austin in Austin, TX.

Video Recorded on May 20, 2024: Here is the interesting elevator I wanted to get an updated revisit on here at University Of Texas At Austin. This is a sidewalk elevator that goes to the roof of the building which you unfortunately needed a key to access. It would be nice to see this elevator rise all the way up to the top with the rooftop double doors opening. Installed in 1973, modernized in 2006.

Great video Jim! I want to thank you for all your videos because they have helped me identify a Mitsubishi (I’m pretty sure) elevator. It was tough to identify because it didn’t have a brand name but I think I got the brand! Thanks for your videos once again Jim!
