Talking about this subject, I’m also a senior and many times called me mentioning that they represent Medicare, a friend of mine that for real is a license insurer, gave me a tip that really works. When you have a call they say are from Medicare and try to switch your insurance just ask the question: Who gave you my phone number, that person, I noticed get really nervous and don’t know what to answer, then, I finished by saying: do you know that what you are doing is illegal ? Right away he hangs up the call. So that is my recipe, try it and you will see. Really works.

I found that saying NO when they ask if you are on Medicare makes them hang up. I also put a warning on my answering machine that the caller has reached the Telephone Scam Reporting Line. Cut down on nuisance calls quite a bit.
