I last wrenched out of a tiny Nissan S-body in '98. Magnetic trays had just come out,so for fun I left them up top or on the side..was constantly flagged down that I had tools about to fall off. That year primary service was 20 irrigation pivots with dt366 engines over a 60 mile spread. But have installed fence from '04-19 all with shallow single tired rigs. Never had the depth for drawers ,but... Always had most used tools/parts on driverside, even parked wrong way beside the road. Several items they all had minimum of a 5 gallon bucket of water in the bed,with a gravity hose and valve for cleaning my hands. Next was wypalls/scrubs in a bucket. Irrigation pumps were in a welded frame,and only about 10 inches off the ground. So I had a welding shop (was 20 and hadn't learned to weld back then) build a custom aluminum drain pan to hold oil. Hooked a 20 ft garden hose to a 12v marine bilge pump to pump the oil into a drum in the truck. For fencing I used it to drain ditches/entire city lots/and coredrill concrete from ponds occasionally. I still have all 3 available and use them from daily (wipes),jug of water now,and 2 bilge pumps 500gph and a 3500. A 3500 pump with a 9ahr m18 (yes I said 18 volt),will drain the battery and an IBC 330 gallon tote in 5 minutes. Amazon has small pump for $15,and 3500 for $50 if you shop warehouse returns. Pumps and wipes have only went up from $10-15,which is only 50% from inflation...... Have always envied you guys with deep bodies ,and your drawers!

Air? I ve written torque test channel and asked him to do reviews on 3/4 and up impacts. He said he doesnt have a compressor big enough. I really hate spending a ton of money and guessing what one is best. I have the composit matco and IR261 and the IR is stronger, but coworkers new Aircat beats both. I know 1 guy with the Mac but we havent faced off. The snap on is weak.

Cams truck isn't as obese like Tylors truck I imagine Cam has more tools added to the truck since this video. A single axle 5 ton is the way to go more room to carry tools more room to work out of the truck isn't maxed to the hind t*t weight wise. Not sure if the new RAM trucks are any better the 2008 Sterling Bullet (Ram 5500) that was in the fleet I worked at truck ate brakes for breakfast. You could sure tell it was a Dodge the cab is cheaply built the way things are engineered/designed poorly.

@nathankisner833210 ай бұрын
What ones do you work on? Accum charging is a giant pain to tool up. Start with a regulator Harris 8700-1500 or Victor. Hydac is common. Cat has a book with good pics. Tifco is another good one. Each breaker comp has their own tooling

Good choice. I am on truck #6, the Ram is great for the mountains in my area. When dealing with flat-landers and curves, hang back, drop a gear, once a passing section comes up apply the coals and you can sling-shot right around. The down hill is amazing with the exhaust brake and trans. You need to install some "Sumo" anti sway cushions on the drive axle, that will greatly improve the cornering going through canyon curves.
