A game from my teenage timeline. I remember this to the T, as I was a big King/Yoshimitsu fan growing up. I had this gamer book with all the combos and I would practice those ten hit combos for hours. What a time to be alive and being a kid. No bills, no responsibilities or kids to watch/take care of.

It’s absolutely an awesome game for sure! Must have been a blast living in the 90s, I wasn’t even born yet when this game came out (born in 2002) but since I was given hand-me downs when I was younger, my uncle used to own a PlayStation and Tekken 2 was in the box. I instantly fell in love with this game. Now that I’m older, I’m glad to have the actual arcade hardware as well! More awesome videos and hopefully setup/hardware overview videos will be coming in 2022! :D

when i was in 8th grade i just discovered street fighter. sf II world warrior, (born in 96') (i'd been playing tekken since 8 yrs old, so way longer) but we had an assigment where we would write about something we really liked doing/or were interested in? cant quite remember, but i wrote that tekken 2 was my favorite game of all time lol, dunno why, but i guess i'd have been playing this game a ton lol. it is a really fun game

First console was the N64. Even though I started out on PC gaming, I never saw what Playstation offered till I got a PS2 slim in early 2000s. And the rest was history lol

For those who don't know, there are Tekken 2 machines who allows the player facing some secret characters after the first stage. Here in Brazil, various Tekken 2 machines have this factor.

La 1ra y unica vez que le pude dar fin fue con "jack 2" ese fue el mejor momento🥺 de mi vida ya que este juego una vez al año lo jugaba.. en las ferias de diciembre la traian Yo aprovechaba😢 las pocas veces que podia ir a hecharme las partidas a modo de darle fin😊😊... es el tekken mas dificil que me costo darle fin esa unica vez.. nadie le habia dado fin hasta que yo lo logre.. en ese momento el señor dueño de las maquinitas de la feria se admiro de mi esmero por darle fin y lo consegui.. Admirado me felicito.. viejo sos grande me dijo .. nadie le habia dado fin yo te lo afirmo" me dijo" hasta que este dia fuistes bos... wuaoo me llene de orgullo🥲🥲🥲.. la verda que si era muy dificil.. esto fue en le año 2004.. fue la ultima vez que lo jugue y le pude dar fin ya en 2005 en adelante ya no las trajeron nunca mas....😢😢😢... sabes muchos dicen que tekke 3 es el mejor... pero yo jugue ambos y la verdad pues me quedo con este "tekken 2" siento que es mejor que el" 3"... luego me pase a jugar tekken tag" y si ese me gusto mas ya que se parece a las caractericas del tekken 2.. saludos👋👋🙂😎 excellentes videos

Yesss one of my first PS1 games. If you have Tekken 5 on PS2, you can play the arcade version in arcade history mode 😊

Yep! While it’s not a perfect port (PS2 arcade collection),it’s ok. I’m using actual arcade hardware here and the loading/sound differences are noticeable.

Thanks! I’m not 100% a true purists as I upscale my gameplays in high resolution and play/record my pcbs in a very unconventional way. Met some people on Reddit who hate my videos. @@FIGHTERSCHOICEArcade All good, you can't please everyone! People are never 100 percent happy no Matter what you do LOL 😂 As for me, I don't have space to buy all these games separately. So instead, I got a Pandora 3D arcade box. It runs everything up to PS1 decently. SNES and N64, hit and miss (to be expected 😂). I hooked up the box to my CRT and it's really crisp. Merry Xmas to you as well 🙂

I only have one arcade machine and it barley fits in my room lol! I only collect the boards and try to fit them all into my cab. It’s a Konami style arcade cabinet that has been transformed into a custom Tekken 5 cab. Got it for a great deal as it had no monitor and was in terrible shape. I put an LCD monitor as I don’t have a CRT monitor or TV that can fit (I actually can’t find a CRT monitor.) I slapped on a curved 32” 4K gaming monitor and I’m extremely happy with my Franken-cab :D I do have a video around my “arcade hardware” playlist showing it off. I will eventually start a series on collecting arcade pcbs and setting them up for home use without the use of expensive converters. Should be something people would like! I remember playing it in my PSP to see how a PAL game or PAL version of a PS1 game does run and look on such (via PSX2PSP Eboot) and also ended up playing it and unlocking almost everything in one go while I was on a looooooong trip. (I say almost, because for that point, i didn't knew that i had to (SPOILER ALERT) beat Stage 3 with Great/Very little health remaining, to fight Roger, beat and unlock him, along with Alex)

I first played this game when my uncle gave me a box with filled with old games and consoles. I also have it on the PS3 (PSN digital download). I want to mod my PS1 with an X-Station as the laser had died. I also want to compare all the Tekken ports using original hardware, should be fun as I have to unlock everything. Tekken 2 is a very difficult game and funny enough, this gameplay is the only time I beat the whole game (no matter which version) in one go.

Do u have a converter that can connect all pcbs in one cabinet? It's probably not possible to do that

It’s possible with a jamma switcher. I don’t have one installed as I have to make my own separate kick harnesses and the switchers are pretty expensive. I think it will work flawlessly with the early ROM based pcbs but I’m not sure about the disc based systems.

Maybe, but since the arcade hardware is relatively new and “uncracked”, there’s still a lot to learn about how they work. The arcade system most likely to be emulated first might be the PlayStation 3 based Namco system 357/369 hardware as they are just retail PS3s with custom firmware.
