Jak X, Undertale/Deltarune, Silent Hill 2, Sonic Frontiers, Metal Gear Rising, Persona 5, Assassin's Creed 2, Hitman: Codename 47, Celeste, FTL, almost any pokemon game (but I guess Black/White in particular), Chrono Trigger, probably a lot of the Final Fantasy games, and last but certainly not least La-Mulana 1 and 2 (although no one probably played them...one of the hardest, but most involved and best experiences ever in my gaming life)

42:41 The piano in Poolside always reminds me of Robert Miles - Children lol. I love it. I think my favorite song in T5, and maybe top 3 in all of Tekken, is Formless Like Water. I can't break down why as well as you can, but I just find the vocals really soothing. Despite the heart pumping beat over the whole thing, I feel calm and collected while fighting with this track playing, and I can almost smell the grass and water through the speakers, but it might be nostalgia for the stage causing that. I'm a sucker for those echoing, harmonic, singing moments in tracks. A big reason why T6 Karma is my #1 out of all Tekken.
@dinosulic1012 ай бұрын
Great take! I definitely know what you mean with being able to smell the grass and water. The immersion of the music alone is really stellar in some of these tunes, and Formless Like Water is a prime example of that. Thanks for watching, see you in the next one :)

i absolutely love this passionate yapping and i cant let this opportunity to yap about my favourite tekken ost of all time pass 43:25 i have never heard anyone mention how ground zero funk sounds fitting for devil jin, but in a way it does fit incredibly well, personally to me this theme is the best representation of the endless mishima cycle of violence ever, inner shrine is such an incredible theme for jin confronting his inner demons while surpassing the mishimas, heat haze is so hype defining the final clash of two generations as well but it does not compare to what ground zero funk represents, what it feels like, along with the stage, and lore it all capsulates so well what tekken means in its core and how i remember it in my childhood the combination of the gray wasteland of the mishima honmaru temple where nothing but a desolated landscape is left and the mishimas fighting along with the soundtrack intensifying the confrontation alongside hints of tragic connotations in the tune combine into a view so tragic and cool that feels like "even at the rubble of the mishima foundations, where nothing is remains, the mishimas would continue fighting until the end" i have not enough words in my lexic to describe how beautifully it portrays the tragic and intense confrontation between father and son, kazuya and heihachi specifically, the song continuing to circle and cycle towards the same looming conclusion of confrontation damn its so PEAK its such a shame other tekkens jukebox dont have this theme and it was never used again because of licensing issues, i heard it had to do about the composer using a sample of a singer i believe this is the suspect and youll be suprised to hear how much it sounds inspired from this piece the original inspiration sounds so alike but in a much slower pace be patient and youll notice it easily Inspiration for easier recognition check 01:09 (remember it has a much slower pace than Ground zero funk) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHSvi2eAr9mVoNEsi=3IOSiMi22FzNWu74 Ground zero funk check 01:09 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWW3lnWpqp2Yra8

@dinosulic101 Yeah that was a fun little tight package. I really enjoy your presentation style and your main video idea of going into a knowledgeable depth into video game music. Your content has a ton of potential. I just wish you spent a lil extra time elaborating on the musical concepts that you mentioned. some visualizations or outside examples perhaps. Like that chord root thingy you brought up, Idk what it is still and I doubt I could learn music theory by just watching a KZbin vid but even then, just a little elaboration would be cool. Also I enjoyed it when you added some facecam commentary footage in the last vid, it added some variety you know. Overall tho I can't and shouldn't complain, the vid hit hard, just not as hard as moonlit wilderness tho, and another similarly emotional, and icy track from DR which drastically improves the theme from its predecessor (yeah you know which one I'm itching like a crack whore to hear you talk about that). Lovely stuff dude

Thank you so much for this video! Looking forward to your input on the next few installments of Tekken. :) You clearly put so much effort into them, it absolutely shows! After listening to T5 OST more and specifically "Sparking!" I see how the music producers of Tekken definitely took inspiration of the Anime-esque sequence of the T5 opening and the music to create an upgraded version in the form of the Tekken 8 opening. T8 seems to reference back a lot to T5 which I appreciate.

Tekken 5 is where I feel, stylistically, Tekken becomes what we expect out of this franchise musically. Banger OST top to bottom, but I personally still prefet 4. Also, and this is a personal question, where do you find the composer credits for each song? Having done videos myself and using Tekken music frequently it's frustrating finding the credits for who made which track.

I took the credits from the Tekken fandom.com wiki. I don‘t know if they‘re perfectly accurate, but they seem quite thorough, and I always want to at least name the composers/producers, since they are often underappreciated.
