There are no trials, survival, or time attack or even mini-games and other single player content or online content besides tournament and player or ranked. All other Tekkens from 6 to Tag 2 had more content than this so its rather bare-bones but the season pass will add more modes, stages and characters but sold to you so its abit dull at the moment still really want it but not going to buy it just yet, I'll wait for a price drop.

I have been fan of Tekken since Tekken 2, I played countless hours with my brother. My favorite characters are Lee and Yoshimitsu. I'm really looking forward to Tekken 7 and especially the story mode. I think it's really awesome, that you'll play many different characters and even side missions on the story mode and I feel like fighting games nowadays need this strong and diverse narrative.

Tekken 7 is an amazing experience, enjoy how they make all the characters so unique, most of the time fighting games just have a few distinct styles, spread it across all the chars and call them unique, but nah, tekken characters are wholly and completely unique. Love the addition of the slow motion system, watching a kick just barely fly over my head as i deliver a finishing blow, or watching me miss by how the character arched their back for their attack, and my punch hits air as they land the decisive blow on me to moments where even though I get hit back I still have a sliver of hp and come back, feels so amazing.

It's three years after release and I still have not bought Tekken 7, despite its predecessors being my most loved fighting games ever. Surprise, but _I_ bought those exlusively for the SP content and the occasional local 1on 1 match, I never gave a crap about competitive online play. . The SP content is utterly disappointing, there are no campaigns for the individual characters. I am forced to play with characters I don't even like when all I wanna do is to have some fun with Bryan. . This game is clearly made with solely online competitive in mind, which is fine; I don't have to buy it, but considering that its predecessors all had quite a lot of content that kept me entertained for such a long time, this is still somewhat disappointing.

I'm a tekken player so I just got this game without really caring about anything else. But after watching the mishima saga and character story I felt that those were the weak points. The story of mishima saga really just says "theres gonna be tekken 8" with a cliffhanger ending and Jin just sleeps through the entire game. The character story didnt seem to be that much appealing either as most are just for the lols without actually advancing through character's storylines and there arent any cinematics or boss fights just one battle with another guy who basically has the same story. Also there does not seem to be much customization options either. So if you dont play tekken at all and will buy the game just to mash some buttons I dont think tekken 7 is a good idea but as someone who plays the game I'm curious how the game will change in the oncoming updates and DLC

Yeah, T7 is pretty bare bones, honestly. Story mode aside, there's not a whole lot to do except play 1 v 1 versus; I mean, I guess you could do treasure battle, but in my experience, fighting against the cpu (even on ultra hard) only teaches you how to play the game wrong. Too many easy AI exploits that most adept players would never fall for (e.g. the cpu will almost invariably walk into a rage art no matter how you set it up; if you're fast, the cpu will always eat the first hit in the round (and usually as a CH; such as Jin's 4); certain attacks are almost obligatorily blocked regardless of mix up whereas certain attacks are almost never blocked).

I watched my Dad play Tekken(1994) when I was a kid and started playing when Tekken 3 came out on the original Playstation. Tekken's fluid motion and smooth combos have not changed at all, in fact they amplified the game over the years with more fluid and unique combos. On top of that they also give old and new fighters unique fighting styles, to where you HAVE to master and understand all of them to master the game itself. Tekken 7 is a wonderful mesh of all the games combined into one(besides having the "tag" aspect that you see in Tekken Tag 1 and 2. But as an OG fan there are also a few disappointments but its more what is left out of the game than what they did to the game itself. I was hoping for a new style of the Tekken Force Mode that they had in Tekken 3 and also there isn't a true "Survival mode" either, but in order to make up for the missing Survial mode they seemed to have meshed the "Ghost battle" they implemented in 5 and the OG survival style of back to back fighting til you lose in "Treasure battle'. Also there's a few OG characters that are missing in the lineup that made me feel little sad, Lei Wulong, Anna Williams, Mokujin and more are missing ;-; wishful thinking has me hoping for them to be DLC characters! Also as a true Tekken fan having a Street Fighter character(Akuma) come into the lineup had me on the fence about the idea because we all know Tekken and Street Fighter fans don't normally see eye to eye. but his fighting style matches the Tekken style perfectly plus he meshes the two worlds together well in the story line and has me hoping for the possibility of Tekken x Streetfghter... other than that I'm happy with what they did with Tekken 7 and look forward for it to thrive in the fighting game community! 9/10 imo lol

Yoshimitsu is by far the most complex and fun character to use in this game series. He has endless combo options, humiliationg finishin moves, (like stabbing himself in the tomach aswell as the oposing player, dealing huge damage to the both of them) and all around a pretty cool and different style in all games in my opinion!

I'm a Asuka fan for similar reasons, while her moveset isn't very mechanicaly challenging, most of her moves are slow, heavy hitting and nice combo openers. This forces you to try to read better your oponents moves and get your timing and distance control very precise, otherwise everyone will just outspeed you, but whenever you hit, you HIT LIKE A TRUCK. That playstyle is pretty awesome in my opinion, and very unique.

It may be strange but I prefer a lot more Tekken 7 then MK 11, I don’t but there’s something in Tekken that makes me want to fight and fight again and master their moves and combos. Also I prefer the characters like The Mishimas, King and Armor King, Yoshimitsu, Kunimitsu, Paul, Law (Bruce Lee), Lei Wulong (Jackie Chan), Raven and Master Raven, Feng Wei and even Kuma. And they have cool guest characters like Noctius, Geese (my favorite), Akuma and even freaking Negan. It’s just Tekken combines incredibly reality with fantasy

You guys remember Ghost Battle? You know where you play as much as you want and the A. I. actually dishes out great combos and is actually a good training ground if you want to do competetive and you don't have anyone to play against offline.

Been playing since the beginning, Jin was my favourite until they changed his martial art style. Xiaoyu, Julia and Eddie Gordo were always the easiest to master for me. Tekken 6 didn't amaze me. I'm still getting into this game, Tekken 3 is still my favourite, the mode where you ran through the streets was a cool addition to it.

I wouldn't say the Arcade Mode is just what people would expect, that's a little misleading. The Arcade Mode is unfortunately stripped down to only 5 matches, and it has no character endings. The supposed character endings have been moved to the character extra story chapters, but I wouldn't call those character endings in the old tekken tradition. All in all, It's far inferior to Tekken 5's Arcade Mode. Still a great game otherwise.

For all we know, it is possible that the story mode began after the tournament was held. Regardless, this game failed to deliver a sufficient arcade experience. This game would be so much better with a proper arcade mode with actual cinematic endings. This could have been done in addition to the Mishima saga story and character episodes.

in my opinion Tekken is the best fighting game out there. The flow of the combat, the combos, the fighting styles, everything adds up and fuses together perfectly. Even if you are not into the story of tekken characters at all, this game gives the best fighting experience. I just wanted a bit of action as Jin in the story mode, which unfortunately i didn't get, but i have no complaints, 8 hours later i reached Tekken God rank in offline mode with him, which is pretty nice. Some moves of the characters have been changed slightly, so that you can't spam over and over again some OP moves, which is again a nice fix and a great way Namco is dealing with this issue. Also, love the dark souls reference in customisation section *wink wink*

Dude!!! I´ve been playing TEKKEN since the beginning. I still don't have the game yet, you know, Angola, things get here a little more expensive than in others countries. I bought the digital version though. I play mostly with all characters, I mastered King, Law, Paul Phoenix (it´s almost impossible for me to lose when I play with him), the Mishima and Kazama´s. Good: Arcade Mode and Story Mode. Robust Training Mode Options. Asthetics characters and fighting are all awesome. Guest Character in the story and is a beast. Easy mode option in story mode. Roster is mostly good. Character costume customization options are beastly Bad: Single Character story fights w/o Arcade mode character specific endings. That hurts. Not enough tutorial options outside of story and training mode to help new players get into the game. Kuma and Panda are in this game but Lei and Julia aren't.
