I don't think he is completely clueless on fighting games so I'm not surprised he won a few times. Getting familiar with the concept of range and punishing can already net you a few rounds. That , and because it's generally harder to read new players since it's hard to really know what they would do. Eddy has pretty low punishing frames that unless you know what and when to counter with, it's pretty hard to win against. His spinning move has such a low recovery period that even in the training mode, it counts as a follow-up combo.
