The default character hair physics, particularly on the ladies, are starting to look pretty good. It's abit of a shame that the customized one don't look on par.

It sucks compared to previous Tekken iterations. The accessories are very limited and for some odd reason items that should have movement to them don't. I miss having each body part being customizable especially the hands/gloves. Let me wear gloves with a coat damn it. The face paint should have a color option as well as the eyes. We can pick different eye designs but can't color them, why?? Hair used to have way more options and now we are limited to what, 6 maybe? TEKKEN 8's customization is an absolute downgrade.

The reason is simple: Namco gatekeeps the deep customization bc they will add it in the tekken shop as dlc. Dirty but all FGs do this now. "Nerf the based game to add more in the shop" type philosophy

the biggest issue for me is the fact that in tekken 7 (using kaz as an example) you could have his karate trousers and pair it with a tank top. basically the 'main suits' could be split rather than being forced to be all one big item like it is in tekken 8

Its not that it sucks in a vacuum its that its an OBJECTIVELY worse system than T6/TTT2 and is still manages to be a downgrade from T7. They are LITERALLY taking default skins from T7 into T8, charging you for it, and reducing its features (putting them in the entire body category so they cant be mix and matched with other pieces of clothing.) We excused it for T7 because the jump from TTT2 to T7 there was an engine change from their own to unreal4 and had to remake everything from the ground up but from T7 to T8 they're literally just porting over the skins from T7 to unreal 5 and calling it a day.

Well for the game being ONLY 5 months old it is still very promising and grandly designed. It has a lot going for it. A lot that was put into making this game fun with plenty of modes. Maybe the customzation is limited but they have done a lot with 8 that has me thinking within a year this might end up being the best Tekken. Before 8 many characters were hard to learn and play as but 8 has systems in play to make sure every character is playable and fun. I'd take all that they have done over a better customzation any day.
