@@qkp01 The more you win, the more points you get. The more you lose, the more points you lose. Gain enough points and you go up a rank. Every 4th rank up brings you to a new color, and there are a total of 10 colors (brackets) in T8. Green rank, which is the third color/bracket, is what he struggled to get passed in T7. But because he's been blocking everyone he loses against, he's artificially inflating his rank to position himself higher up the ladder than where he actually should be.

@@qkp01 Win matches, earn points, every X points you rank up. The first 3 colors (Grey, Cyan, Green) are free, you don't lose points when you lose a match. Yellow ranks are when you start losing points for each Defeat. This wasn't the case in Tekken 7, you were winning and losing points from the start. Tekken 8 also reduced drastically the amount of ranks (each color had 4 ranks, now it's 3 except for Blue ranks and above). Ranks are basically inflated in Tekken 8, more people can attain them and quicker than before. Add to that the first 2 months where there were a lot of balancing issues, and plenty of people could earn high ranks while barely knowing their fundamentals (LTG being an example among many others).

I’ll give him some coaching Fun fact Dale, most Drag players go for a fc df1,4 after getting a successful d2 since d2 leaves you in crouch. This dude did that over a dozen times to you and you somehow never noticed this pattern and adapted. If you were to crouch after d2 then the Drag would have to adapt and start using options like ws1+2 after d2 once he realizes you’re aware of his gameplan. This is Tekken. You analyze how someone plays, notice patterns in their gameplay, and try to counter play with that information. You seem to be completely incapable of doing this. 7:17 Dragunov and Feng secondary here. Every single input that this Dragunov used in the prior round, with the exception of the Heat activation, is a move in Tekken 7. If anything, the low grab scoop has been nerfed from 7 by burning up your Heat. Dragunov also does not gain any frame advantage on any of his moves during Heat, while his Heat Smash is rather average, coming out at 15 frames and only leaving him at +6 on block. Conversely, Feng's Heat Smash, while at 20 frames, has a better hitbox and leaves him at a meaty +12, while also placing him in Shifting Clouds stance for free at the end, and db1, 4 - the spinning kick out of forward palm move Dale loves to spam - was buffed to a 15 frame startup in Tekken 8, meaning it now beats the vast majority of advancing knockdown normals, where it used to trade.
