Tekken 8 - UEVR (First demo impressions! 🥋🔥)

First time playing the demo, resisted the temptation not to try the PS5 demo so this is my first time playing and playing it in VR with praydog's UEVR.
Really great and close to perfect, the UI is immaculate unlike Tekken 7 which had a lot of problems thankfully.
Just the demo at the moment but likely will be even more polished on release. Compared to Tekken 7 the UI is flawless everywhere and the game is gorgeous. Lots of options from FSR and DLSS as well, including some stuff like Saturation. No online for now so will have to see how it behaves injecting on the full release. Super fun though as is and surprisingly polished in VR, makes me suspicious they'll have a PSVR2 or VR mode like they did before.
When you try it make sure to be playing in 120hz or 60hz due to the 60fps cap, which is why my experience was so much smoother in my second video testing Virtual Desktop. Which is the reason I thought I had something wrong with my framerate as had my headset on 72hz. Super smooth on Ultra with DLSS Quality when I ran at 120hz on Virtual Desktop

Nicee is there option to save and load presets or game so you dont have to adjust those setting every time you load a game?

Yes, you can load configs although for a game like this all I’m doing is setting my resolution. Doesn’t require anything other than really pressing inject. Making camera offsets and changing the world scale you will prefer to just do on the fly for how you want. That is me just flying around looking at stuff.

I have the same issue! It slows down then speeds up over and over, it has nothing to do with that my pc cant handle it, because i went into oculus software and had the resolution at extremely low and then i set LOW at everything in tekken, but still it was exactly the same its always at 43 fps something, something is wrong. saw a guy that played this in 120 fps i dont know how he did that, but it was not slow at all, it worked perfectly for him he has a 4090 but it cant be that, i have a 7900 xt, its not that because of what i said above. if someone knows what to do please tell me.

Edit i know how to fix it now, you need to put your oculus in 120 hz if its not 120 it will slowdown

I use synchronised sequential, Native turns it slow mo for me

Nah man through the UEVR overlay. Find runtime and change it from native to synchronised. Mines stuck at 60 though because fkn Tekken put a cap on it! VR dnt feel good playin at 60@@knytronomega2487

Got it running in VR on a 1080ti with low settings Apart from textures on Ultra and background to medium at around 2.4k per eye. Only problem is FPS just locks at 60 and wont go any higher. Anyway to uncap so i can reach 80 on a Rift S? 60 feels like turd in VR

You need to run 120hz or 60hz for this to work properly.

Depends, played online with Tekken 7. They might add their own to Tekken 8 now that looks for mods. Might be like Aliens where a texture replacement like the UI button mod gets flagged and no online and VR was fine, or a more extreme situation if they use EAC.
