When you think of long, epic storylines in any medium, from video games to movies and books, Tekken probably isn't the first game to come to mind. It's a fighting game. You have match-ups, things get destroyed, Mishima family, yada yada, right? Well, sort of.
The truth is that Tekken holds the record for having the longest-running video game storyline. No reboots and no gaps in development - just one story that's been going on since the first game debuted in 1994, which is crazy considering the changes and evolutions we've seen in major franchises like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. It's a record that will likely remain with the franchise upon the launch of Tekken 8.

Kazuya is the real Main character of the series also the main Villain that's what make Tekken story memorable and never got old

Wouldn't King of Fighters also be a video game with the Longest story. They started in 94 too, without any reboots. You can even go back as far as Fatal Fury except its a different series just connected.

I don’t know about King of Fighters, but the record specifies “Video Game with the Longest *Continuous* Story” bc Tekken has been going from the beginning with no jumps back nor forward in time in relation to its other games. Otherwise, games like Metal Gear, Castlevania, and I guess, technically, Mario and Zelda would hold that title since they’ve been coming out since the 70s and 80s.

the most “accessible” tekken, for the crybabies who played it because it was very complex, literally with baby assist wheels, if you are still bad at this tekken… Tetris is your best option, tekken 5 DR and Tag 2 are still the best For me, but this is super entertaining, I still find rage quilters hahaha even better the game rewards if you know how to play it (king and his blue work grab) heat system that should be optional

Been playing the game all day today as Amazon delivered early. Just can’t get online yet unfortunately. Love the arcade mode where you travel round different arcades. Seen a few of the character episode endings as well. Law’s and Bryan’s so far definitely worth seeing 😂
