The food here would be called "Nabe", I believe, and which would translate for "steam pot," it is basically a stew. Usually, you see these for nabe or foods like "shabu shabu" are usually made in these and contain a mixture of vegetables like shiitake mushrooms, daikon, and plenty of other vegetables along with meatballs and thin slices of beef or pork in it. You let it boil under the stove slowly until all of it is well-cooked (in Japan, there are restaurants where you boil it on top of the table with a stove implemented in the table itself).
