Nice video, but to clarify some things: - Default health in the game is 151, which is what most of the "normal" male characters had. The females, along with Paul and Heihachi, had 140 hit points. - True Ogre's f+2 is based on Wang's move, not Jin's, though in practice they are similar. - f,f+2, while cheap, can also be escaped by pressing b,b. When escaped this way, there is virtually no stun or recovery, making it very easy to punish True Orge. When I regularly played TTT in Korean arcades, a fair number of players could ALWAYS escape this way and punish with Jin's electric or some other fast launcher, making the move quite risky. - Good players can jab Ogre out of his fast unblockables. They are quick, but not unseeable or unpunishable for people with good reactions. Overall, the Ogres were super strong and, sure, unbalanced, but they were also so satisfying to play with. I still get to play TTT in the arcades against other good players from time to time and it's always a lot of fun with team No Limit Ogres.

The lowest tier health was 140 most female characters had that along with Law, Paul, Hei, Roger and Wang. After that it was 151 most male characters + Anna and Julia (Julias damage output and safety combined with higher health made her a tank). There's a couple of higher ammounts but that covers most of the cast.

Yeah the players with some training could easily escape by pressing bb. And then there were those who could react to it and I was a mid level Ogre/true ogre player because I got tired of everyone mid playing Jin and heihachi and Lei. There were players who could react to most of True Ogre moves and the health pool is justified because True Ogre can be juggled more than normal characters.

Correction: His f,f+2 was launch punishable in that instead of hitting 'u' or 'd' after blocking the 1st hit which resulted in a quick SS, you were supposed to hit 'b,b' allowing you to backdash making the 2nd hit whiff. You could launch him with an EWGF afterwards.

The fact is that, yes, you choose king but this guy is clearly Armor King because there are no reason for king to become black skinned and use someone else mask. I think that if we choose this costume we get Armor King 1 using King characteristic moves like he did when he was training King 2. If you remember, a similiar thing was done with Miharu being a simple costume swap for Ling because they basically have identical fight style. The strange thing is that we still get the name "King" for the character, even if that guy is 100% Armor King. PS: sorry for my bad english.

Quick correction, you were right with true ogre having the most hp in the game, but its not 115 with True ogre. In fact its even higher at 120. Making him tied with Devil , Angel, Kuma, Panda, Gun Jack, Jack-2, and Prototype Jack for highest hp in the game.

The combo count is a bit confusing, the 76 result in that when you use a throw that had guaranteed followups the damage is just added to the throw, he also had counterhit on so the f2 did more damage then it should, proper calculation would be 55+ 35+28(63 would be shown instead of 76)= 118 dmg.

Ogre's d/f reversal and that his f,f+2 can also be escaped by sidestepping upward or by tapping b,b (which is actually very easy and it leaves you on a better position than sidestepping the unblockable part). But after what you've seen, actually it's a balanced because True Ogre's hitbox is MASSIVE (play TTT and then speak), you can hit some mids when its lying down, and just Devil, Jack 2, P Jack, Ogre and Unknown will active their rage when tagged with True Ogre.

you can punish True ogre ff+2 block the first hit and b,b, instead of tapping down.

That T. Ogre ff+2 on block you can punish easily just by pressing b,b or f,f after block 1rst hit. After his unblocks u can juglle, after db+1 and combo from FC

im amazed that you did not mention the double tap backward (to the snake move) which in case of mashimas ends in an electric on oger's face.... this is the worst move we can do in the arcade,,,, even a kid punishes after this move.. :D

He was my favorite character in Tekken 3 and tag hands down. In ttg2 i stopped playing him cause they scaled him down way too much.

What did you expect? True Ogre was originally designed as a boss character. So they probably just took on the Tekken 3 move list and damage-files into TTT without balancing much because he was dead slow anyway. Remember playing these game for month in the early 2000s in a mall with some teenager who where "freaks" at this game, he was so slow i never felt he was OP at all

@@HeelPower200 Literally like all Tekken after Tekken 5 when they introduced these endless juggles and combos mechanics that became the stadard in the franchise now and reached it`s lowpoint with TTT2 and T7. I like the more simple and beginner friendly games like Tekken 3 or TTT

Imo they should keep the mechanic of different characters having more/less health. Marduk should have like +15% and Xiaoyu should have -10%. Their hit boxes should balance it for the most part. Give Xiaoyu easier hits to compensate, not more damage.
