I've got a new video for you showing some sound design methods for building a solid pumping kick from scratch using Punchbox.
I plan on making a short series where I go through each element one by one until there are enough elements to have a good base for a tekno track.
The project files & samples are available on my Patreon & Bandcamp Subscribe pages for people who choose to support my work.

I don’t have the “Boom! 3” preset, did you made it yourself? Or can I download it somewhere?

hmm, that Tools preset should have been part of the factory presets, maybe you have an older version of the plugin? btw, make sure you browse through the 'TOOLS' section and not the main presets. if it helps, my version is 1.0.6. if you still can't manage to find it, send me an email so we can figure it out (email addres in my youtube channel's 'more info')

hi! When I put the kick audio in the MIDI track if I use the simpler in classic mode I do not have the same sound only if I use slice mode, and with that mode I do not have the parameters that you are changing. Do you know why is this hapenning and how can I fix it ? Thank you for your video!!!

you probably have SNAP enabled. that's a small button which both Sampler and Simpler have. with it enabled, it tried to snap the sample to a specific point, but sometimes that's not as you want it to be. just disable it and adjust the starting point of your kick to wherever you want. hope this helps!

then you'd be delighted to know I spent about 4-5 hours (off-camera) strictly on the 'lows' group, the one I showcased in Part 5 kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKaXdZt7pZWqZtU&ab_channel=FreeTribe

@@freetribe6500 do you spend 4-5 hours just for kckk and bass? did I understand wrong? people finish their projects with arrangement and mixing in 4-5 hours.

@@fabfilterabidin not always, but yes, I did have some projects where I worked on the low end for about 4-5h. actually, in my forthcoming EP, Psycho Acous'teka, track 4 called ¿Dónde está la Biblio'teka? I worked on the low end for about 6hrs. might sound stupid, but i wanted to adjust every single aspect of the sounds used to perfection. it's the one I showecased in my Phasing video

@@skeletoor501 i did that by mistake. i configured my audio channels to always have an EQ Eight plugin when creating one, and midi channels to always have an Operator, and I sometimes overlook I already have an EQ Eight there xD so ignore that bit, didn't do it on purpose or for some 'hidden reason' xD However, sometimes I do find myself having 2 (or more) EQ Eights on the same channel because I want to separate what they're supposed to do, so that I can bypass them if needed to A-B test. I'll give a random example now - i never want low end on snare, and i cut below 200, and then with another eq 8 i boost some high end, and with another one i cut some resonances. but i don't always do that, and it's up to you how you segment these workflow bits. bless!
