Erin has done nothing wrong; his reviews are among the most transparent and honest on the internet, backed by solid evidence and measurements. If individuals like Erin and Amir from AudioScienceReview are silenced, we risk being left with the same outdated, biased reviews that have dominated for decades. This would represent a significant regression in the quality of HiFi gear reviews. It's also concerning that Eric has already threatened two others for their candid feedback. This isn't just about reviews; it's a matter of freedom of speech and using intimidation tactics that have ultimately backfired on Eric.

hahaha! This video is perfect satire about the situation. I can't believe all of this started because of a small resonance that was found in the 250Hz range by Erin. Nobody cared about this but Eric from Tekton. Now Eric has been exposed for who he really is, a bully who builds subpar speakers. I think Eric has done more harm to his brand than what any negative review could have ever done. RIP Tekton.

You nailed something that others haven't really noticed. Is it Eric's strategy to have every negative review taken down so that all the remains online are positive reviews? No matter the immediate consequences to his reputation among KZbin audio reviewers and followers. The question is whether this strategy can actually work. We are rightly horrified but what of the average Joe hearing about tekton and doing a search?

No idea, but I think Tekton is hurt significantly because only the few who dig really know about the company. Klipsch probably could care less as most of their sales probably come from consumers who don’t rely on reviews.

Though he doesn't have the most subscribers, Erin is widely respected and well loved within the online community. When he went through his divorce, he really poured his heart out about it. What you see is what you get with him. Still though, Steve Guttenberg's review is on the tekton website. And Jay Iyagi has a positive review of the double impacts up. If we could get those two to take them down . . .

Tekton's owner, Eric Alexander, went ridiculously way over-the-top... Getting lawyers & mentioning litigation over a simple, fairly positive review... What a stupid thing to do. He's done much more harm to his brand than if he'd just accepted what was *not*, in any way, shape or form, a negative review... P.s. I expected nothing less from this channel. I will not talk trash about anybody; however, I reserve the right to take my business wherever I feel like (take that Radio Shack...). All reviewers, regardless of who they are and whether I agree, get my support. Several manufacturers have taken Erin's (& others reviews) in stride. Try to improve the product, or prepare to reap the whirlwind. I am a 57-year-old man. Life has already taught me that you can't control everything, and things may go wrong; learn from it so that you don't repeat it again. No one made anybody look like an "ass." This person managed to do that on his own...

We are pleased to see the YT reviewer community rally around their own when subjected by what can be deemed as draconian behavior from a manufacturer to silence what they considered a bad review...but what we find ironic is the eerie silence from the same community about the prolific practice of YT reviewers that delete comments that don't meet their objectives or put forth completely false narratives about equipment from an entire region being unsafe to protect their market interest....where is the same condemnation we ask

Well said. I don’t delete comments unless they are vulgar- usually just hide them, but I think I’ve only done that twice. Lots of different opinions should be allowed both in the review and the comments.

I've read his patent application and his issued patent on the driver array - it was apparently chopped down by the examiner to be virtually irrelevant. Basically, the only way you would infringe is to have the center tweeter the same style as the surrounding tweeters (that act as a concentric midrange).

Honestly, I've got no problem with a manufacturer pointing out a review mistake if they're cordial about it and it actually makes a difference. Putting the feet in hardly did anything to the measurements, though.

They got similar resonances in another model. The impedance curve certainly appears to show resonances. The similarity between Tekton and Bose is uncanny. Take one idea, form a company around it, use cheap drive units, sue everyone who doesn't say they're perfect. Bose are very successful, but we've seen this before.

The review wasn't even bad and the plots were mostly fine. There was just a side note pointing to a tiny wiggle. I got an impression that Eric is very insecure. He thinks he's a victim and blows the problem out of proportion. Fear has big eyes they say. If someone is THAT pedantic about that one specific thing, you know it's their problem.
