Kind of insane how the echoes of the Lich King are being felt even now. Just think, if Arthas never killed Sylvanas, this war wouldn't be happening. And of course, the Lich King was made by Kil'Jaedon. Even in defeat, the Legion is burning Azeroth.

Elune put her people to sleep that were left in teldrassil during the burning, they prayed not for salvation, but for mercy from the flames. And thats exactly what elune gave them. May the goddess watch over you.

i remember back in the bfa pre-patch i was doing this questline on horde and when we conquered astranaar, Sylvanas and Saurfang were inside of the city with an armada of the horde behind them and when this music at 5:37 kicked in, it really felt sad that the night elves lost so badly and lost their ancient jungle to the horde, the same jungle that they defended from the burning legion twice, but it also felt like Wow was about to change forever and this time the wounds of war cannot be healed. so many key characters, Sylvanas, Malfurion, Tyrande, characters that we knew since warcraft 3 were involved in this battle that it felt like there's no turning back after this... i remember at darkshore right where that river near the grove of ancients separates the land, the night elf army was standing on the other side and we were on the south side and there was this night elf hunter that kept attacking horde players when we were doing WQs and she kept attacking us as if she was a night elf NPC that is out for revenge. and at that point we didn't even know that the battle is going to end with teldrassil burning (that part of the storyline was released with maybe a week or two delay). it was a sad story and i wished it wouldn't have happened like this, but man, it never felt more intense any other time in Wow history, neither during the wrath pre-patch nor Legion's did the world pvp feel so intense !!!

Elune, the moon godess got two main Aspects. Mother Moon - Who represents the soft Aspect of Elune, the Aspect of Love, Healing and Mercy But also the Night Warrior - the darker Aspect of Elune, the violent Aspect... A Mother protect their children under all circumstances, and now the children of Elune are burning. The time will come for the nightelves to teach the Horde, that they aren't fragile Little elves ... how did they say in Warcraft III? "They are ... the perfect warriors." The time will come, when Elune will darken the sun - the time were the Kaldorei will teach the Horde to fear their Forests again. To fear the Night again. Fear the Kaldorei again. Tor'illisar'theranal...

Victor Alexandru i nearly shed a tear seeing the tree burn, if i actually was in game, i would've fell to my knees. WoW is amazing, 15 years who woulda thought id actually have strong feelings of emotion about a video game. But 15 years ago Teldrassil was home, it was where my journy began and i always hearthed back to log.

gmaster634 I completely agree with you. However, for me it is the setting and the story that kept me intrrested and passionate. I have been a follower of it since Warcraft 2. I have read most Warcraft novels and i have frequent Warcraft RP sessions with my friends. No other fantasy universe has kept me so engaged and happy, and i don't think any could replace it. Warcraft was my childhood.

Victor Alexandru sadly i was a little too young when warcraft 2 and 3 were out, shit i was so young when i stepped foot into wow, 10 years old, i didnt even know how to play computer games properly let alone an mmorpg lol

Where will night elves live now? I can't believe they'll leave Ashenvale and mt.Hyjal. They were bound to these zones since Warcraft 3. Such a shame

Steiner 01 Teldrassil is the pre-expansion event so it will come out some time in july before the launch.

The night elves did not give up their homeland for 10k years and now they just leave? I am wondering how actually Cenarius and others will react to the burning of Teldrasill. I hope that elves will return to their woods. To be honest I am playing WoW mainly for the amazing lore, but so far I am not amazed... Forgive me for any mistakes, english is not my native language.

They were caught completely off guard. For one thing, the Alliance didn’t even know Teldrassil was the target of the Horde, so they couldn’t send reinforcements in time. For another, because they were caught so off guard they couldn’t mount any serious defense. Even so, any solid defense they did put up was quickly exploited and torn to shreds, as Sylvanas, for all her flaws, is a skilled tactician, and was dead set on Teldrassil, and is practically a walking catalyst for death. They traded several blows but ultimately Teldrassil was left at the mercy of the Banshee Queen, and she burned it to ashes. By the way you speak very good English for not being a native speaker! 😁

Alex H. That is true. I am just so sad, because I remember this zone as my very first experience in WoW. But it seems that the night elves still have a presence in Darkshore after the questline. I want only that the Kaldorei will give the Horde a fight and that they will not end stucked in park within Stormwind after the expansion. Thank you.

Sławek Jasel there’s a good chance this war will end in a stalemate, as the Alliance has quickly evened the playing field by taking Lordaeron. This is a pattern we will probably see continue as both sides are equally angry and out for blood, and when it does end in a stalemate both sides will be left ravaged having gained nothing, which is probably the best thinkable time for the Old Gods to strike. I would normally say that Blizzard will even things back out by giving the burnt Teldrassil back to the Alliance and a ruined Undercoty back to the Horde, but they’ve been very daring lately, so I can’t say that for certain. However I feel you, Undercity was a place I used to always roam and afk in while I farmed dungeons, it was always so easy to get lost in, but I loved it ;-;

I don’t doubt it’ll be a stalemate in WoW but I think if WoW were real and everything were consistent, we’d see the ancients descend from Hyjal and obliterate Sylvanas’s invasion force rather than let the sacred forest be desecrated and a world tree burned. The only folks spared would MAYBE be the Horde Druids in the Circle.
