Saw a clip of this video on TikTok and immediately hopped over here to listen to the whole thing. I’ve been listening to this song over and over for the past couple days, your voice is so lovely to listen to. I especially love the lyric “the tracks feel safe because you know em”, although I can’t really put into words why, I just felt them strongly. This song is a beautiful work of art, so thank you so much for creating the music you do. I’ve since listened to all the songs on the telenovella KZbin account- you’ve got a new fan! The comments are turned off on a lot of your other songs, so I also wanted to add here that I really love the song ‘young and free’, honestly such a lovely sentiment. I just wanted to leave a comment to let you know your music is wonderful and that it’s appreciated. ❤

The sentiment behind the lyric “the tracks feel safe because you know em” is a pretty common and poignant psychological phenomenon where people cling to things that they know might harm them because they're more afraid of the unknown of being without them.

the sound of a surfer cowgirl with a rattlesnake for a lei, and a leather hula skirt, leaning on a flowered cactus, shooting holes in a can of coconut beans, under a quiet island desert sunset.. lovely song and video, well done!

No, you can't beat me at my own game Oh, you want it all to stay the same I love you, still I must get goin' It worked until we did some growin' Who can deny the truth the longest? Let's not let it come to that No, you were not shunted down slack's lane Oh, you're not tied up here comes the train The tracks feel safe because you know 'em You cannot stop the whistle from blowin' And if you stay, it's gonna hurt much worse You'll still be left behind All there is left to want From this last kiss Words couldn't hold Even if we spoke No, you hope some things won't ever die Oh, you won't put on your suit and tie It's still a funeral, you know it You may not cry, you may not show it But here is poetry, a vein of ore Uncovered by the storm All there is left to want From this last kiss Words couldn't hold Even if we spoke Shot in the dark Missed it by a mile Still left a mark Couldn't blame us for trying No... No... Oh... Oh..

Every single lyric just reminds me of my relationship with fentanyl. I know she probably wrote this about a person but god damn does it sounds like a drug lullaby. “The tracks feel safe because you know em” breaks my heart.

New fan here. This reminds me of one of my favorite video games, Fallout. it would absolutely fit in the universe. This gives off a longing for the past after a nuclear fallout...like a band trying to revive some of humanity's storytelling through song. I'm in Corpus Christi, TX and will be on the lookout for an appearance of Tele Novella near me!!!
@samcrane70846 ай бұрын
Why was I thinking the same thing actually? It reminds me a lot of the Western themes they have in Nukaworld. It's one of my favorite parts of the game, and this song and video would literally pair perfectly with the game.

The first time I saw this band was at the Empire Control Room when the stage was still facing south, with the two tiny Meyer speakers “filling” the room. Within seconds, I was fixated, losing my sense of what I might need to be doing… like balancing. I was the first at the merch table after the show. It’s not often that you find a thing that can both-sides it all. Is it dark? Is it light? They leave it up to you. Absolutely enamored.
